Even without Harden this Nets team can definitely beat the Bucks. Not only is KD an all time great and Irving a proven performer in the clutch and as a co-star, the Bucks and Giannis are far from proven in the postseason. Giannis, Bud and middleton has not shown they can perform under pressure or to their potential in the postseason the last couple years. One series win over a disappointing Heat team doesn't change that.
Nets are one of the most insanely stacked offensive teams I have ever seen. If this team is healthy for a full 82 game season. They can win 70 games easy
Its kind of depressing to see these guys dominate the Bucks without James, then again it is only one game, and Kyrie and Durant's jumpers are not gonna be on the whole series.
I love to see Brick Freak catch L’s…I can’t bare to see a game that ugly prosper the faster him and his bricks are out the postseason, the better
KD showing the world he still wants to be regarded as the BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA. With Lebron dethroned, he's coming hard for that crown. Somethings he's thought was his since 2017.
They are playing with no desperation, treating this like a regular season game, not adjusting. Just a failure all around. Brook Lopez is shooting 70% and they are barely utilizing him, Giannis as we mentioned playing rotational minutes for no reason, and Khris I'm not sure if he's hit a jumpshot and Giannis is just chucking jumpshots randomly. Nets were going to play harder when Harden went out, teams always do that, this was the game for the Bucks to show the Nets "Hey, you're not beating us without that guy." I'm sure they will shoot better for the rest of the series at least.
I was wondering it they would get tighter in the 4th quarter after letting a lot of contact go in the 3rd.
Yup. Midway through the third quarter, they were shooting over 62% from 2 (since most their points were in the paint) yet they chucked over 20 threes making only 3 of them. Bud, Giannis and middleton has had a ton of criticism for their postseason play for a reason.
