Moody falling out of lottery would be a steal.

Like Greg Jones over Bassey, just a tad.

Boston has really nose dived since last season.

As of today, these are the probabilities for Rockets first pick:

    17th pick: 47.9%
    1st pick: 14%
    2nd pick: 13.4%
    3rd pick: 12.7%
    4th pick: 12%

Ha! So this is the loophole of luring a 5 star recruit. Funnel the money thru his brother

It's been so many years since I've watched the lottery. Do they still do it from the back and build up to the first? We're going to be on pins and needles when they get to the 6th and 5th picks.

    yeah, they do

if I see the Rockets come up before the 4th pick, I might pass out on the spot

but even if we do get to the top 4 picks left and we’re still on the board, I’ll still be nervous as hell praying and hoping we get the 1st pick...I want Cade

Even before 6th and 5th picks, you can see if any of the 7-14 teams skips their order.

I like what Jones can become but he just hasn’t shown it this year. I might also just be incredibly biased though because I love Basseys game. First of all for a junior hes still only 20. He’s got elite size and has shown ability to get in a stance and slide his feet if forced too on the perimeter. His advanced stats are also reidiculous. He posted a ridiculous block perfentage with good OBpM and DBPm. Not only is he an ideal target for rim rolls but he gets out in transition and beats the other big down the court like capela. But the one upside is he shoots 75% from FT. I’m still struggling to understand why he’s projected out of the lotto and in the second in most mocks but this kid would be a steal with the MIl pick

Simulated tankathon again. Five of 10 times, was top 4, but didn't get Cade until the last one. The ping pong is random, I feel it is reasonably optimistic to expect a top 4, but landing #1/Cade at the actual draft is slim.

Rockets should be drafting for strong potential meaning very probable the player feels that role. So draft either the future stars, steals, or trade down for fit and value.

Rockets need to focus on Size, Defense, Playmaking, and Spacing.

    If Rockets get:
    1st pick: Cade Cunningham
    NBADraft: 1; ESPN: 1; CBS: 1
    Positions: PG, SF, SG, PF
Why: Superstar potential, Big playmaker, Position Versatility

    2nd pick: Evan Mobley
    NBADraft: 2; ESPN: 2; CBS: 2
    Positions: C, PF
Why: All-Star potential, Two-way potential, Vertical Threat

    3rd pick: Jonathan Kuminga
    NBADraft: 5; ESPN: 5; CBS: 5
    Positions: SF, PF
Why: All-Star potential, Two-way potential, Vertical Threat

4th pick: Trade for player and/or future 1st(s)
Why: Next best are the Jalens, Suggs and Green. Wall, KPJ, and Gordon will dominate those guard minutes barring a trade. These guys need starter minutes to develop properly. It would force more smallball which isn't always optimal. Wall isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Might as well let him be the role he wants as the lead veteran while the young players develop. Trade down the draft for a player that is a better fit and get compensated future pick(s) as asset(s).

    18th pick: Kai Jones
    NBADraft: 10; ESPN: 16; CBS: 8
    Positions: PF, C
Why: Two-way potential, Vertical Threat, Steal potential

Trade the 4th pick down for him and another pick if he is drafted in early/mid lottery OR package the 18th+22nd pick to move up to the late lottery to mid teens.

    22nd pick: Ziaire Williams
    NBADraft: 12; ESPN: 24; CBS: 21
    Positions: SG, SF
Why: Steal potential, Size for position, Shot Creator, Horizontal Spacing

Eric Gordon replacement on offense. This pick is dependent if it the Rockets keep it.

Re-sign Olynyk (~11M per year) or a veteran big on the cheap

    2021-22 Potential Roster
    PG: Wall, DJ Augustin
    SG: KPJ, Gordon, Z.Williams
    SF: Cunningham, Tate, House
    PF: Wood, KJ Martin
    C: Olynyk, K.Jones

If we don't get in the before the 4th pick just stop the count. I'm already planning a coup to storm the lottery pick place.

If the rockets lose their pick my interest in the team will be at a all time low since the early 90’s when I started watching the team. Need that hope!
