Houston Trades: Steve Francis, Clar. Weatherspoon, Pike, A. Griffin
Chicago Trades: Kirk Heinrich, Antonio Davis, Hoiberg, and Eddie Curry (or Tyson Chandler)
    Seattle Trades: Rashard Lewis
Golden State Trades: Troy Murphy, and Speedy Claxton

Houston Receives: Rashard Lewis, Troy Murphy, Claxton, and Antonio Davis
Chicago Receives: Steve Francis, Clar. Weatherspoon
Seattle Receives: Eddie Curry (or Tyson Chandler), Hoiberg and Adrian Griffin
Golden State Receives: Kirk Heinrich and Pike

    Reasons:

Houston - Need a better 4; Murphy rebounds and can also shoot. Lewis is a deadly shooter with size.

Chicago - Get a star in Francis, plus can pick up Okafor in draft. Might have given up on Curry.

Seattle - NEED SIZE! Will take a chance on Curry.

Golden State - Who wouldn't pick up a player like Heinrich???

If we exclude Golden State, we'll be getting Heinrich, Lewis and Davis. That wouldn't be bad either.

Hoigberg doesn't even play for the Bulls anymore.

    BTW, No.

So, for Steve and garbage, Chicago gives up Heinrich, Davis, and Curry/Chandler?

I know they haven't been the wisest of flesh merchants, but some on...

How about a stud role player that we could get with our trade exception, which would probably have been enough to push past LA nad get to the second round.

i think the only player who would have got us past would be an elton brand. malone killed us and only a brand would have been able to play good enough defense and offense to push us past. i think we are more than a role player away. we need another top notch player.

Francis, Cato, 2nd rnd pick for...

    Carlos Boozer, Jeff McGinnis, filler

    then, Mot for...

    Brent Barry

    Your 2004-05 Rockets:

    C: Yao, Boozer, FA
    PF: Boozer, FA
    SF: JJ, Boki, Griffin
    SG: Barry, Mobes, Pike
    PG: McGinnis, MJ, FA

3rd place WC finish, behind SA and Minn...we lose to SA in the WC Finals, but TD and the Spurs get their last taste of a championship before the Yao era comes full throttle.

We need a stud PF who can block shots and rebound like a mutha.

How about we trade Scottie Pippen to Portland for Stacey Augmon, Kelvin Cato, Ed Gray, Carlos Rogers, Brian Shaw, and Walt Williams. That would give us two PF, a serviceable 3, and some fodder to package with some picks.

I apologize for sounding so repetative, but I dunno, threads like this make it somewhat necassary.

T-mac should be Rocket's number one priority this off season, for several reasons I've posted in other threads and am too annoyed to post them again and again. :p

I would like to see Heinrich from Chicago in A Rockets uniform and Ben Wallace from the Pistons as our Power Forward. We would still need a Small Forward with some size as JJ would slide down into a Shooting Guard position and play less minutes. We neeed a crack and consistant shooter - Ray Allen

    Rockets starting 5 next season
Heinrich Playmaker Point Guard & IQ
Ray Allen Consistant Sharp Shooter& IQ
Nachbar Energy goes to the basket& IQ
Ben Wallace Strength, Scorer, Rebounder& IQ
Yao Ming Improved, demands the ball, brings back all the fancy moves from his first season. 20 and 10 next year!
Gone Mobley, Francis, Mo Tay, Cato JacksonPG Pike
    Spoon and Griffin.

Hinrich isn't being dealt, they have made it more than clear that they will build around Hinrich and Curry. I don't see how you can pry Big Ben away from Detroit.

I usually don't do trades but....

    Houston Trades:
    Cuttino Mobley
    Kelvin Cato
    2nd round pick

    Houston Recieves:
    Al Harrington
    Austin Croshere
    Jamal Tinsley

    Indy Trades:
    Al Harrington
    Austin Croshere
    Jamal Tinsley

    Recieves:
    Cuttino Mobley
    Kelvin Cato
    2nd round pick

    Francis-Tinsley
    JJ-Pike or FA
    Harrington-Nachbar
    MoT-Harrington/Padgett
    Yao-Croshere

    Fred Jones-Anthony Carter
    Cuttino Mobley-Reggie Miller
    Ron Artest-Brewer
    Jermaine O Neil-Bender
    Cato-Pollard

Houston gets our big SF or even PF (sometimes). Harrington has the size and skill we could use, he can score and rebound. Tinsley can come off the bench for some rest for SF or can play alongside SF when able to, can move JJ to the bench. Croshere could give some nice minutes off the bench, about the same as Padgett, maybe a little bigger.

Indy gets a SG to replace Miller, they've been looking for one. Cato allows JO to play PF full-time, Indy's lack of a center makes them slide JO to the 5 sometimes. A Cato/JO frontcourt would be the nastiest (defensively). They pick up a 2nd rounder too.
