Someone said it here the day Les sold it. We would remember the day, and we did. Fake tough billionaire can't even get the easy business straight. If someone getting a hot commodity and turning it into this hot mess is not the definition of a loser, I'm not sure what it is. Sure, the guy will have millions more on his account, but you can't "unshame" from this.
I would bet my car that Tilman called Stone last night and said, "I want that guy off my team tomorrow. Take the best deal and get it done."
Not sure I get your point. We get a top 4 pick this season likely, so that pick is gone. I don't follow the contract statement either. Are you saying that due to not getting stars, we will not convey most of the picks?
Rockets could have demanded Dinwiddie/Allen instead of Prince/Allen. It looks like we used Allen to dump Prince's contract (2/25) for Exum (1/9.6). I would have rather gotten Dinnwiddies expiring contract, and have kept Allen over getting the Bucks 2022 1st. Allen seems to have the same talent as Clint Capela, and he's only 22. We traded him for a very late 1st essentially.
In terms of the team being mentioned in every disgruntled star trade for the next 7 years....Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, whomever...as long as we are sitting on a stack of assets and retain a good mix of high and low value contracts, we will have the power to remake the roster with multiple stars when the opportunity presents itself.
Then you would have been ripping the Rockets for tanking the season and trading for a guy with a torn ACL.
Dinwiddie is worth absolutely nothing right now I don't get why you'd want him at all. And Allen while nice is an upcoming free agent and won't be worth the money he'll command long term. He's nice but if he gets like 15M a year for years I'll pass. Also there's no guarantee he'd agree to lock up long term for Ferndouchebag anyway.
