So we got back an expiring SG that our owner likely won’t pay, and a bunch of picks that will likely be worse than the ones we traded for Westbrook. And most importantly, current payroll decreased.
SO after weeks of drama and endless rumuors, speculation and analysis... the Rockets end up trading with the team and deal first reported when this Harden saga began. The Nets packaged - minus dimwidee. I referred to this package as the poo poo plater many times in the past and still think its kind of shitty. But with what happened the last few days... somehow it doesn't smell as bad... (still stinks tho lol)
FIRST impressions... and they can change. Kurucs is raw, but probably not high upside. Exum is a a bag of potato chips. Oladipo is an injury prone springy former allstar to shore up our all-washed-and-injury-prone backcourt with Wall. BKN and MIL picks will be in the 20's and not very valuable. This is not good so far. I only hope now that we repackage Tucker, House and some of these picks and players for someone 6'10 who can rebound. Otherwise, it's going to be dark ages for 5 years. And I'm not aiming to win in the playoffs, just field a competitive team on any given night.
There are positive ways to look at this. You guys have to remember, what we been missing in the past is picks to be able to make moves for players, so in theory, we now have positive assets to move pieces around if a superstar player were to become disgruntled. No guarantee obviously, but there is flexibility on our side.
