I don't know why people keep thinking that if you trade with Miami, you are taking Herro as you franchise player. To me this is the scenarios:

With Philly: it's trading $100 for a $50 bill and a couple of $10 bills -- you hope the $50 will turn into something close to a $100
With Miami: it's trading $100 for four $20 bills -- you hope at least one of the $20s will turn into something close to a $100 OR you can flip all those $20 together for another $100

He led NBA last season in average steals per game.

    Harden led in total steals.

And Simmons is head and shoulders the better player than Siakam, not even debatable.

yeah. Well I don't believe he will even shoot that.

His problem with shooting is extremely underrated here.
It's not that he's a bad shooter that needs some improvement and reps.
It's that he is a literal NON shooter.

Honestly, I'd like a Celtics package around Brown over all of these.

Brown, Langford, Nesmith, R.Williams, Pritchard and 3 1st

    for

    Harden, Tucker (TPE), McLemore (TPE)

Ok I thought you meant totals which wasn’t the case.
And yes he’s a better player than Siakam, but there’s a much larger margin between Harden and Simmons than there is Simmons and Siakam. Also depends on what else you can get from Toronto-that makes the package more enticing.

Coming from a Giannis fan, laughable.

If Giannis broken shot can be fixed, so can Simmons.

It's all moot, Harden not going anywhere.

Fair take. My apprehension about Simmons is that he is not just a bad shooter. He is a TERRIBLE shooter. He shoots 27% outside of 10 ft. And his FT shooting is below 60%. I have great doubt that he can improve much.

I think he'd be a killer 2nd option as a center, but he'd have to completely throw out his ego and accept doing a lot of PnR's as the role man, a lot of standing under the basket, but still handling the ball and making plays time to time. Similar to Bam's role.

At least better than Russ who shot even though he’s a terrible shooter.

Lol what are you talking about? When did I ever say " Giannis is a good shooter" ?

And also even if Giannis shot 20% that would be better than 0%.

Simmons has NO shot. There is nothing to be fixed because it isn't broken.
    It does NOT exist.

First you have to actually SHOOT to make a shot and he doesn't even do that.

    No.
Unless you are a Center otherwise in the playoffs teams leave you completely unguarded. Especially him who has no midrange, no perimeter shot nothing away 1 foot from the basket.

    the skill is so obvious

people want to force him into a box of being a shooter who needs everything created for him...a limited player that can only score coming off screens or spotting up
