so you’re pretty much worried about things that might happen but has yet to happen. In that case it’s not really reality you’re looking at...it’s more like fear of the unknown. look, are signs pointing to Harden and Russ leaving? Sure but that doesn’t mean the franchise should close up shop. Even with a crappy owner like Tilman sports success is more or less cyclical. If you’ve been a fan of this team long enough you’ve endured plenty of lows. Hell, look at my avatar. If you know who that is and remember him as a Rocke then this potential talent exodus is just another wave ending for another wave to begin.
If the Rox were in the East we’d have been in the finals every year since 2016. Toronto didn’t have to face KD, and would have maybe won 1 game (and that’s a stretch) if they had. The only good thing in all this is that both WB and Harden demanded to be traded in non-contract years, so teams won’t lowball us and we’ll get a great return
WB straight up asked out and Harden turned down $50 mil a year, nobody does that. It’s done. We’ve no doubt had our lows but not like this, nothing comes close to losing your superstars, GM, and head coach all in the same year. This easily sets us back 5 years and yes I understand we have to be optimistic, but this is the truth.
Wood looks to everything that CC was not... can shoot the 3 to spread the floor and can put the ball on the ground and finish at the rim...
Pessimism is not reality any more than optimism is. Unless you have a crystal ball, nobody knows how all of this will turn out. Long shots win championships (hello 95 Rockets) and favorites can get embarrassed in the second round (hey Clippers.) Hope we can keep Harden around for another shot at this and see what happens.
So are you going to stop being a Rockets fan? Because it sounds like you would rather see everyone here be as miserable as you are than to just be happy that the team actually got a promising player to come to Houston tonight. There’s going to be plenty of time to be miserable and mope around. Tonight ain’t one of those times my friend.
This is a moot point because Harden and Westbrook will not be there to pass him the ball and throw him lobs
You’re clearly searching for attention at this point and I’m a sucker for taking the bait but this is my last response to you before you’re on ignore: Try to have a nice holiday season. If you can’t manage to be happy or optimistic about something the least you can do is try to avoid dragging others down with you. That’s never a good look.
Till now LAC did nothing except for re-signing Marcus Morris n letting go Herrell, maybe there are certain blockbuster trade talk under the way involving teams, Steve ballmer does not care about money at all. That gonna be a win win situation: PG best fit in this team…clippers need a star point guard n let russ back hometown maybe that makes him more than happier.
Wrong you freaking idiot. Loss of coach, gm, and ultimately small ball was the greatest thing to happen to this franchise in five years. We’re now making moves and gaining picks that will allow us to survive moving forward.
I’m saying we’re done for the next 5 years. And yes they both want out in non contract years so teams will not lowball since they don’t want to miss out, we’re going to get a great return for them and hopefully be back in the mix. Also the name calling...
I have to say, Christian Wood is the closest thing this team has had to a big three since Charles Barkley.
