Yao's gotta play, 'cause he's the only Rocket who's logged minutes in each game this season, so there's no reason to break that trend in the last game of the season. Let him play from the opening tip until the first break in action
I think both coaches will use the game for their playoff's preparation. I expect more 'inside' game for both team and Yao will play 4-5 minutes per quarter and more aggressive.
This is off topic but would Del Harris actually try to sabotage the Rockets by doing something to Yao over the summer? Like for example running Yao to the ground by long and extended practices? We do play Dallas 4 times a year...
He should play the 1st half then be off. If he pays a real game tonite JVG nor YAO BETTER NOT EVEN SAY THE WORD FATIGUE/EXHUASTION DURING THE PLAYOFFS!!!!! Rocket RIver
i say give the starting line up som much needed rest tonight & let the bench do there thing. Also i dont think Jim Jackson should play at all tonight he needs his rest, IMO
i bet jvg is gonna be ignorant and play the starters long mintues. Like JJ played 47 min in the seattle game.
AMEN - I already had to cut Francis for this game FREE JJ and YAO !!! and let me win the title (of course - a lot of other players will also be benched tonight too, so it should all even out)
Let me say that I don't believe in this streak bullcrap. As great an achievement it may be, I'd rather count the banners hanging at the Toyota Center. There's absolutely no reason for Yao to play in a meaningless game. If he twist an ankle in the 15 - 20 minutes that's seriously gonna hurt during playoff time. And no I fail to see how one game can keep him sharp.
I can see JVG and Don Nelson at midcourt now: JVG: My scrubs can beat your scrubs! DN: Ha! That's a laugh! Your STARTERS couldn't beat my scrubs! JVG: That's a lack of respect! (jumps on DN's leg) DN: (trying to walk away) Somebody get this clown off me! JVG: (being dragged along floor) Lack---OOF!---of---OUCH!---respect!
There you go again with your puerile drivel. For you information you can root for another team for all we care and stop beating yourself up.
