I got a new job very taxing on the body. Order selecting in a distribution center if you know what that is.

I work with a lot of Burmese guys and they share food and it looks sooo good

All Bahn Mi should have butter and pate on them- thats the French influence. Im curious as to what the shrimp paste is though? What I know as shrimp paste is fermented stuff and I wouldnt suggest that to a lot of people here as it can be very strong in odor and taste.

Just saw this. Blech, was kind of a joke that came across wrong there. Sorry bro.

The reuben is possibly the king of all sammiches, indeed. Not sure there's even a close 2nd in the sliced bread category. Maybe the club from the old Savages on Kirby.

Because I'm a good man, and thorough, I'll add that my list forgot the muffaletta and cuban, and the gyro has no business on it, even though it's a worthy adversary to the reuben for greatest overall sammich.

Gotta ask the boys to hook you up one of these days. At least should ask if there's a legit Burmese restaurant in Houston.

I'm all about the pork. Everything now and then a torta will be dry and that never happens with a banh mi

How moist the meat is may seem to rely on the cook but maybe it has to do with the overall recipe

Banh mi tastes so airy and mystical with hints of nature. Shut the f up

    Torta all the way.

Jk can't go wrong with either and I'm not comfortable making a decision on which is better.

    9th inning was great.

Never had a meatball banh mi, but they're one of my go-to meats in pho.

I love a great Bahn Mi. I practically lived at the Les Givral in Midtown when I lived in Houston. Ten years later, and Austin is still a struggle in that department. Saigon Le Vendeur is solid, but not too close to me. I only eat the Tofu ones, so that makes it a bit harder on the selection

Les Givral spoiled me on what a $4 sandwich should be.

I should avoid these threads so close to lunch/dinner/late night drinking times..

Damn. We've been talking about that damn club for decades. That honey mustard that was far too much honey and those sticks you could **** with people with after they were done? Still miss that damn sandwich. Good Call.
