I think the playoffs are done. No reason for these guys to be away from their families and friends any longer. Putting Black Lives Matter on the side of the court just isn't enough. It's gonna take real societal change.
Paul George should have said. I am no Police officer, can't go out and stifle the opponent like the next guy around the block.
I was thinking about this too, if they are just delaying games, this massively helps the Rockets who are already banged up.
I feel like that's the consensus of a lot of fans too, regardless of what political side of the aisle one is on. I like that players are standing up and using a platform they have to send a message against these issues. I just miss seeing them play too. It's been a crappy 2020.
I truly hope our country can come out of this year with a meaningful revolution to the atrocities that plagues our communities.
Chinese aren't being, choked out and shot in the back due to the color of their skin. Spoken like a true racist.
funny thing, this exposes a lot of the idiots on this board that are all upset. a lot of people showing their true colors
So is everyone taking an L, like... literally? Or are they scooting the entire schedule over by one day?
Can someone explain the purpose of this boycott to me? I'm not trying to be combative, this is a genuine question. I keep seeing people talk about awareness but it seems like everyone is already aware of what's going on. Do cancelled NBA games put pressure on police departments to make changes? In a perfect world, what is the result of this boycott? What is the desired outcome that would have them saying "great, this worked, back to the games"?
