Even though Barkley is known as a guy with strong opinions, I think a lot of his professed opinions are fake. Just stuff to say to appear like he’s making a provocative statement.

This was such an effortless offensive showcase. James didn't even break a sweat.

So IF Mike and James played how would it go?

James could chill on the 3 point line and bait him. Mike was so good defensively he could get back on James if he broke by. Mike wouldn’t block ALL of James shots though and with the 3 pointer (2 pointer 1v1??) James would always be close.

Crucify me, but I think James preferred defensive style plays into MJs post offense. Again this obviously James isn’t “stopping” MJ but MJ wouldn’t be dunking all over James either. With no threat of a 3 ball from Mike (for the most part) James wouldn’t make it easy.

It would be close and the slippery craftiness from Harden wins 12-10.

No one can cover Harden one on one other than maybe Dream. Harden would get layup after layup on Jordan.

He has voiced this opinion a number of times and it is accurate. James Harden is the greatest one on one player in NBA history. He isn’t the greatest PLAYER ever.

I will just say this, had Harden been on the Warriors, we would be saying he is one of the 3-4 greatest players ever.

As it is, he is the best player of his era and the first or second best offensive player ever.

He has won 3 scoring titles in a row and finished 1st or second in scoring 6 straight seasons.

He has been All NBA First team 7 straight years.

He has led the league in win shares 4 straight years.

He has been 1st or 2nd in VORP 5 straight years.

Over the last 8 years he is averaging 30 points a game. Only one other player has done that.

What’s his argument? I assume it’s not analytics based, like yours.

Edit: I watched the posted segment just now. OK, I’ll take it. In the past when he said stuff like this, it always came with a bunch of qualifications, which made me doubt his sincerity.

I can't believe people still believe that trash. Good god... Kobe is the single most overrated player of my lifetime.

It still did... He still calls Kobe a better player, which is nonsense. Jordan? Of course, but not Kobe's overrated ass.
