What the HELL is wrong with his shoes; he's fallen slipped like.. 6 times this game.. constantly on the floor.. anytime i see someone hit the floor..it's steve. change the kicks.
He draws contact going to the hoop, while it's not a foul every time, he seems to hit the floor to lessen the impact (going with the motion of the ocean instead of against it) and to beg ref for the foul.
It's not the shoes. I play pick-up BB myself (for 20 years). He's bending low to gain speed to drive past defenders. When you bend way forward until you start to fall, it actually overcomes some momentum of inertia to help you accelerate. This is like someone pushes you from the back to kick-start your run. A similar example is a 100-meter runner bending forward at the starting line ready to pop out. However SF3 seems to be doing a lousy job balancing himself or he just over-bent too much in the heat of the game.
At least Steve's shoes were the reason why he was falling, what was Yao's excuse? Clumsy feet? Yao hits the floor at least four times per game, but why? Yao fell many more times than Steve. It was a physical game and players were hitting the floor all the time.
I think we need not worry about his shoes....since someone else will likely be filling them next year. Now, if they make the new PG slip.....then I think we need to act.
