Another head scratcher from O'Brien... WR heavy draft. Not sure I'd trade for one when you can get a good one. Would rather have drafted Hamler in the second. Or Aiyuk. Hamler is similar to Cooks, and Aiyuk isn't too far off. Both are probably healthier and definitely cheaper. I hope we draft Gandy-Golden in the third, still.
Now Ju tallkin' to me baby (I mean you could have just kept Hopkins who is an all pro about to enter his prime and has only missed 1 game in his career but this at least doesn't leave Watson out to dry)
Assuming the Rams were gonna have to do something about this guy's contract, this was the guy I wanted in this offseason to complement Hopkins and potentially be the Fuller fill-in that Stills couldn't be. Now, who the hell knows. At least it didn't take a 2022 first.
Looking it up, he's signed for 8M this year, and then 12M the next 3 years. I think he had concussion problems last year.
I do not view this as a good trade. Cooks is expensive unless LAR is paying a chunk of the deal. Pick 57 would have yielded a good young WR prospect. Cooks may help them get to 8-8 in lieu of 6-10 though.
LOL the circle of stupidity is almost complete. He signed a 5/81 deal and has 3 years left on it. He also suffered two concussions last season but I doubt that matters to BOB. Someone needs to get BOB to sign up for a fantasy league so he can do all his trading on there and then the team can get a real GM.
