What is the most likely Western Conference finals matchup? The two Los Angeles teams still look to be squaring off in the conference finals, but the Nuggets, Jazz and Rockets have retooled their rosters in hopes of challenging the Lakers and Clippers. Lakers vs. Clippers: 85.7% Lakers vs. Nuggets: 5.7% Lakers vs. Jazz: 2.9% Lakers vs. Rockets: 2.9% Clippers vs. Jazz: 2.9% This is obviously a wet dream for them, but the Rockets have beat both these teams and The Lakers with the small ball lineup . It's nice to just be thrown to the side ..this is when you prove them wrong. Mess up there plans
Hard to disagree. Lakers and Clippers would be my pick as well. Rockets have some work to do. Jazz ahead of us is silly, though. But they are always the "sleeper team" for the media.
Nuggets gonna have to play the Lakers, Clippers, or Rockets eventually before the WCF. They can't purposefully lose to duck the 2 best teams in the conference like last year.
My own personal 1-man voting tells me that the j*zz aren't going to do **** in the playoffs this year, just like they didn't do **** in the playoffs last year or the year before that. Send those two 6'1" guards and that can't-defend-the-perimeter "DPOY" our way, please. They'd make an excellent appetizer before we get to our WCF entree and finals dessert.
Some really strange other predictions in that poll. Such as: Nuggets getting 2.9% of the vote to lose in the finals - some see the Nuggets making the finals over the Lakers, Clippers and Rockets?? Luka getting 2.9% as the player you'd most want on your team in a finals series - great player, but completely untested in the playoffs, let alone the finals Jazz, Nuggets and Mavs getting 2.9% each to be the best team over the next three years - You could kind of see the argument for the Mavs (Luka continues to grow and work better with KP, Cuban not afraid to spend etc.), but Jazz and Nuggets to be the best team over the next 3 years? Where is that growth coming from, cause the Lakers, Clippers and Rockets will all have their core together for at least the next 3 years and I'd take any of those three before the Nuggets let alone the Jazz
