Rockets aren’t trading Tucker, and they aren’t getting Myles Turner. Nerlens Noel and Markieff Morris are the most realistic options, as they can be acquired using TPEs. Thomas Bryant remains a possibility if a team can take on some of the extra players besides Danuel House that would need to be traded to match salary. Richaun Holmes and Aron Baynes are other players making around five million and could be possibilities if Sacramento and Phoenix get the draft compensation they want. Then, you have very remote possibilities like Jarrett Allen or Mitchell Robinson on rookie deals where the Nets and Knicks would need offers they simply can’t refuse.
I trust Morey, but there’s a zero percent chance the Rockets trade P.J. Tucker today. Therefore, they do not have enough salary for a Turner trade.
For the record though I don't believe one bit in any Turner hype. Just that we're getting something decent.
