I can't really wish Paul ill even though he's a somewhat ornery player.

He played hard and well when he was here, he's playing hard and well now.

His body betrayed him at times in the spring for us, it sucks as it probably cost us a title, but it's not his fault, life happens.

We moved on with crazyman russ to try something new. Whatever, it's entertainment.

Trading CP3 for Brodie was a risk. It’s obvious CP is a more efficient high IQ point guard and still is - at this time. But the risk would still be higher late season that he would tweak something and not fully be there where WB might be coming into stride at the time and help keep Harden on task and with less burden. The one thing he brings is durability and that probably won’t show in the stats.

CP has lost a lot of weight and looks spry. Good for him. Still glad we made the trade.

he literally doesnt do anything the first 3 quarters so he can have enough legs to make jumpers in the 4th.

No, the surprise is that people actually believe he's one of our least impactful players.

Seems something James Harden feels good about and the team. The only people that are worried are the CP3 fans that refuse to admit that his poor year got him off the team.

The realities? He's been playing great, this thread only exists because of a Philly game, he plays great for an entire month, has some meh games, then you all come back out with this "Westbrook is bad and is holding back the team" narrative.

I just saw a whole month of Russ domination, followed by some meh games at the start of the new year. I think it's far more likely he has more great games than bad. He's not Lin, comparing this to Lin in any way is very hyperbolic.

Lin is a guy that had one fluke year that his fans held on to as long as possible. Russ is the opposite.

I like how we going to forget Russ's game against a much better opponent and defense not that long ago against the Clippers. As if Russ isn't capable of putting the team on his back, something he's already done here.

@jordnnnn and @YOLO admitted they were wrong on anything.. actually this is pretty much a characteristic of most posters lol :D
I love these guys don't get me wrong;) just a friendly reminder[/QUOTE]

I guess time will tell of course.

I do think they are disregarding how bad CP3 looked at the end of the year for us and why that would be a concern for a player his age.

See. Saying he’s been playing great and had an entire month where he played great is not reality.

He had a month where he had some great games. BUT any real objective look at that month in total still showed him as the least efficient volume chucker in the NBA. He was the least efficient scorer on the team in December. And took the 2nd most shots. His net rating for the month was better, but still middle of the pack for the team. It just wasn’t as great as everyone believes.

Again. Reality of the last couple years and the first half of this season are that NO he doesn’t have more good games than bad.

That’s been Westbrook’s calling card his entire career. When he was great it was every 10 games he had 6-8 good to great and 2-4 bad.

Now out of 10 you are lucky to get 1-2 great, 5 decent and 2-3 bad. And the bad games are worse than they have ever been.

So this is exactly like Lin. Fans being unable to see the player for who he really is. They cling to highlight games without recognizing there are far more bad ones. They give every excuse imaginable for any fact based criticism. When the evidence of poor play is overwhelming they fall back on things that have zero to do with his play on the court “well this is what James wanted”... That doesn’t matter when discussing the actual on court play. They totally rewrite the history of CP3s time here just to prop up there guy. It’s maddening.

Good to see him do well, would be nice to match up with them in the play-offs. That being said, you know CP3 is likely to break down in the play-offs and we all saw how "clutch" he was last year. He shrunk harder than Harden when we needed him the most. Plus Westbrook gives us a different look, gear, is younger and is Harden's friend so still a trade I'd do.

And now he didn't play 'great' according to you but again, you are going by a stat that says PJ Tucker also isn't valuable to the team. I imagine if you poll the forum on that opinion you'd be laughed out of here. Getting on him for inefficient shooting is like getting on A.Davis for inefficient shooting, shooting is not his calling card, it's not what anyone that wants Westbrook on their team expects of him. They expect him to bring hustle and energy to the team along with pace and rebounding. That's what he does. Some nights his shot is on and the other team is in a lot of trouble when that happens, but even when his shot is off he's still bringing those things at an elite level.

Westbrook's calling card his entire career is being a damn HOF player, not anything like Lin or having bad games 40% of the time, you don't make All-NBA teams playing bad 40% of the time.

The only people rewriting CP3s history are the CP3 hanger ons. We had two playoff runs with him. Two. One ended in injury and the other ended in him playing very poorly. That's what happened. You can't be mad at anyone that says they expect CP3 to either be hurt come playoffs or just not show up come playoffs because that's all we've seen. That is the literal reality and for this team playoffs are ALL that matter.

CP3 looked great last night. The best game I’ve seen from him in quite a while. He is definitely not washed up. Can he stay healthy?
