Does anybody else have a hard time watching games when the crowd sounds dead. Turn on other games and you can feel the energy in the other teams building. Just here in Texas the Mavs and Spurs have way more energy in there building. It's not even about this season because they were like this with cp3 as well.
I actually don't think about it too much during the regular season. It gets uncomfortable for me when we're in the playoffs and the crowd at tip-off is Atlanta Hawks vs. Memphis Grizzlies size. People do trickle in over the course of the game though, that's one thing I've noticed. Once we win a couple more championships we'll eclipse the Astros and Texans in everyone's hearts ...well, maybe that's just wishful thinking
it can make the games feel so boring...the defense chants are so pathetic, it’s unreal the only time the crowd made any real noise is when they were cheering for free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches TC sounds like your local library...we have the atmosphere of a 35 win team with no star or exciting young players at all times...it’s a disgrace
It’s frustrating for sure. We have one of the greatest scorers in history and you can barely get them to clap let alone stand, chant and cheer. We have no home court advantage.
Absolutely false. Spurs vs lakers was empty af. The rockets Crowd although being late arriving it pretty solid this year. Today was a 6:30’start and people showed up by the 2nd it was filled. Regular season crowds will never be like playoff crowds, so it is what it is. You’ll see playoff like atmospheres during regular season when lakers come to town for sure
I feel like guys like Harden and Gordon play better in loud away arenas. It gets them more hyped up relative to playing in a lousy atmosphere arena like TC.
****** Houstonians gonna fat. We need to offer a free happy meal after every made basket to get them into it
I hate to say it but Dallas has always had a nice crowd. I’m probably way off base but it feels like they have a younger lower bowl crowd than us. We have old white men in business shirts who get to the game late and hang out in the Lexus lounge.
just want to make sure I understand the rules here, would this comment have been considered a ban offense if the race would have been any other race other than white? @Clutch
Just a thought: Maybe it’s the style of play. It’s fun to watch but defense is what is cheered for at games not isolated one on one plays and switches on the other end. Rockets defense is suspect at the moment and so is the crowd. Different product different response?
Then why was the crowd still ass during the JVG days or during the 17-18 season until the WCF? The crowd is trash whether the defense is elite or not.
Texans have always had loud crowds regardless of how much they suck and they have sucked hard for multiple seasons. MMP is definitely loud based on success of team though as the park was almost empty during the 100 loss seasons.
I wish the Rockets would have an atmosphere like in this video. It's not even a final of any sorts, nor is it the Euroleague. Just a game in the Eurocup (2nd-3rd league in Europe).
