Best example will use is Finland the only country in Europe was able to stand against communist oppression in 1939. Rest of Eastern Europe still dealing with consequences of communist ideology, even Eastern Germany region.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/chinese-fans-isn’t-this-your-cue-to-leave.301577/page-8#post-12634073 Damn, man. I just don't know I should cry or laugh. But seriously, I like what you reply to me although you seem to ignore that my post was for replying to another guy from China. And I truly like you either, indeed. LOL Whatever, what you post is exactly describing what I expect, and what I expect is exactly an altitude for rational discussing. In another words, when you want to express your different views or convince other persons whom with different views, you'd better also provide the information you got to support yourself. Otherwise it only leads to deeply misunderstanding. So why did I ask those questions? Over last 3~4 days, I believe that you guys have seen a bunch of fans from China came to this forums to express their views about the Morey's tweet. They just kept mentioning that the Hong Kong issues is all about "national internal affairs" and "territorial sovereignty", but no one has express their views like what you posted. Some of them looks extreme or emotional, some looks rational. The guy I intended to reply to, he looks like a rational one, em... only looks like. That's why I reply to him with those kinds of enlightening questions. And then? The result doesn't come out of my expectation. He didn't reply to me again. But actually, I did receive an forums notification tells that he quoted me in this thread and I just cannot find his reply. So I thought it might be he originally plan to reply to me but finally gave up. Interesting, right? Are my questions that hard to answer? I don't think so. Look at you, you replied one thesis!!! I'd like give you a A+ despite I already knew all of information included ... LOL ... Then I spent some time to that guy's recent activities. And that guy is still replying other messages in this thread and others, but he did not reply to your post either. Then why he choose to ignore mine and yours? I'm gonna answer those my questions by using the information from Chinese internet. 1. Does Hong Kong protesters only demand for independence from China from the beginning? Yes. Cuz all information indicates that they just want independence. Five demands? What the hell is that? That's just a cover-up for their real purpose. They are supported by foreign strength like CIA and they don't expect us that strong and only want our country into chaos. 2. Are Hong Kong protesters violent? Yes. Since June 9th, the protests had been defined by Hong Kong government as riots, even American President Trump also called it riots. Maybe small part of them are peaceful, but look at those photos and videos broadcast by all medias, they destructed lots of public utilities, they broke some shop and even robbed them, they randomly set fire to block traffic, they use everything to attack police, and all of these are making bad influences to normal peoples life. Those white T-shirt guys are just some people following the spirit of justice, they just do the right thing to give the rioters some lessons. And if we were there, we'll do the same thing and kick the ****ing **** out of the rioters ass. The polices are quite restraint, they were just performing their duties. Don't you see there are nearly 400,000 Hong Kong people held a rally to support polices? 3. Does some Americans have supported Hong Kong protesters is only because their bias or culture difference? Yes. They just hold lots of bias, they just don't understand that culture difference between the China and the America, and they are also arrogant and double standard. 4. Based on what information you got your conclusions for all of the above questions? Based on the information from all public medias in our country, whatever they are state-owned, private, or self. 5. Is there any possibility that the information you've got are not comprehensive or just one-side? No. How can that be? We have so many medias, how can all medias lie to us altogether? Only western medias make fake news, they just spread rumors. To those who only read the Q&A part, these answer aren't my opinion and also not comes from my imagination, they just comes from the majority on Chinese internet and what I did is just bridging culture divides. please calm down and keep reading. And I also sincerely recommend that you read the answers posted by @kanariya quoted by me, due to characters limitation I put a link below the quoted content. Of cause there still have different voices but those voices will either be flooded by endless furious or vanished by widely existing censorship. So regardless of whether or not the silent majority have the same thoughts, are those views comes from culture difference? I think the answer would be no, cuz most of these just comes from information asymmetry, and in my view the information asymmetry are mainly caused by information censorship. The censorship has been put into people's mind so deeply, it let people begin to censor themselves unknowingly, let people produce a conscious that as long as the information they get match their cognition then it should be true and should be fake conversely. And that's why I mentioned that there is a Chinese old words "Widely listening to various views leads to understanding, listening to one single view only leads to believing". Finally, I never thought of answering my own questions would be this kind of exhausted. But still, it's not that hard to answer. Just speak out what you see and what you think, how hard can that be?
That is a good point, but the same Nationalists that did govern pre ‘49 China did flee to Taiwan. While Taiwan did prosper a while, that while was short. And they became dependent on the Mainland economically. So their democracy didn’t achieve that much either economically, imagine if those ruled over Mainland. So in the end both had their flaws, the Mainland fared better for now.
Haha thanks I didn't know if you were trolling him or you seriously wanted answers to your questions. Either way I hope my post help other people better understand HK.
This is exactly how and why we are in this situation. It is people like you who has no clue on facts and assume things thru various means. First of all, when you are “defending the name of freedom of speech” you are also exercising of lack of freedom to others. Because you just asked people not to visit this website from China. Second, Have you even been to China? Or you are still stuck in the 70s mind of Cold War and communist party? Today’s China is socialism mixed with capitalism. Third, monitored state? Tell me one country on this world who doesn’t monitor their citizens! China openly monitor the public and US secretly monitoring their people. That’s the difference. I can go on and on about differences between the two countries, but there is no better or worst place to live. Quite frankly, with Trump being the president anywhere is better then here.
The NSA secretly monitored our citizen and they were held accountable. Thanks to Snowden. It's things like these we have a voice. We can go out and protest to voice out what we don't agree. Most countries do shady things behind their people. But we the people have the power to turn things around. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Compared to China, you just shut up and live your life as is.
To those who really are rational and not afraid to express his/her opinion freely on a global website I will get an answer, regardless of whatever the answer is, finally leads to understanding. But to those spoiler, it's trolling. Anyway, I'm sincerely appreciate that your post those information. It means a lot to Hong Kong people.
The fact that they (or bots) are going out of their way to harass people on twitter right now is hilarious and sad.
There is nothing gross about calling Chinese people Chinese or Mexican people Mexicans etc. It’s no different than calling American people American or English people English.
Go on twitter RN and tweet "Trump eats Russian a$$". As much as we would like to say the guy is a dictator, our system doesn't allow him to jail you for a comment like that, or kill you. It doesn't mean there aren't people in this country pushing for that, but it is our duty as citizens to push back on them. That's what we do. This is why when the right toes that line of fascism the liberals scream. We've kept all that in check, via our vigilance. Does it always work? No, look at the patriot act as reference. But, we try, and we support the effort to try.
Well some of the information is correct but incorrect. We knew about NSA because Snowden made it out of US safety, but look at Wikileaks he was dragged out and we never heard a word about his wellbeing in US detention. In US political system we have the right in vote in order to change leaders. China doesn’t have that but that doesn’t mean they have no other ways around it. As long as you are not opposing the central government or try to overthrow them, you are pretty safe. The central government does regulate their officials and people can report their concerns about certain individual officials, just like everywhere else. However some has connections with other party members and that kind of relationship existed everywhere in the world.
