Honestly, I'm legit impressed with how constantly wrong he is. You throw enough BS out something usually hits by accident. But nope, consistent, magnificent and sensational levels of wrong.
That's why tea pot can't be GM. He let's the personal mix with his decisions for 'culture fit' purposes. I haven't been so upset about a "trade" since the Rockets helped in facilitating a CP3 to the Lakers. Only it's much worse. The commissar isn't going to step in and squash the "trade". =( I put "trade" in quotes because this is just b.o.b flexing his buttchin. In the mirror he sees Belichick .
If when the Texans do the right thing they still suck at it. Trade Clooney when his value is at the absolute lowest. LMAO
There’s no logic to this. What worries me is that for BOB to make a move like this one, he must not be feeling any pressure from ownership whatsoever re: job security, because this trade does nothing to make the team better on any level for this season. All it does, the ONLY thing that it does, is save the team money that it did not want to pay Clowney going forward. Now that might be good for in the future, if they actually spend those savings, but it tells me that this season is essentially a write off, and no coach who is worried about his job would ever be willing to orchestrate a trade that makes his team immediately worse. The man is either supremely arrogant, or he knows that he’s untouchable, and neither is a good thing. Cal McNair needs to wake the **** up because all of this is ultimately on him.
At this point, hope for health for Watson, Watt, Hopkins. We’re going to be a bad team, OB gets fired. Hire a competent GM and let him pick his coach. Have a few picks and a ton of cap room for next year.
I don’t usually criticize front office’s, after all they can’t just talk in theoretical hyperbole. Fans, as we know can have the shortest memories when we botch it, or longest memories when we via Lady Luck hit a great trade on the head. But this trade is just GROSS... look I know that some of the guys coming back may be good players. But you are trading a perennial pro bowler, because he wants to get traded and your organization doesn’t like him. Once this gets personal, it’s time to get a new job BOB. Boo to the Texans!! This trade makes me sad for all my Texans fans. I know folk who spend solid chunks of money to go to the games because they love Football.. I’d of just sat down Clowney for the season and let him walk. Being principled is more important than being a laughing stock.
By that time. Watt is retired and hosting a Ellen type show. Watson’s injured a few times. Hopkins on his 399 mill deal. This era is over. Start thinking 8-9 years
