We've been looking for an upgrade for Ryan Anderson for the longest time now. We need a tall 4 that can hit the the three consistently. PJ Tucker is great but we need someone that can give him a breather. If Gallinari is bought out or is cheap... then yes get him here.
Anthony Bennett can breakout as a Stretch Center off the bench. His 3 point shooting is improved so much, that he doesn't look like the same player.
Watch his Highlights, you will be shocked. I definitely was, he looks like Draymond Green in the G League. I hope he contributes as a rotation player.
I hope Clutchfans keeps their expectations low. It's no good for us to be so excited when these scrubs look like bonafide NBA rotation players during the preseason. Especially playing scrub teams like the Shanghai Sharks.
For real. Dude has shown nothing to prove he belongs in the NBA. Hope he’s successful, but if he simply stays on the roster until seasons end that should be considered successful enough for a guy like him. He will not be a key contributor.
Mike DAntoni I think will like Anthony Bennett game, but Mike needs to trust Anthony to make good decision, he is very good passer from the post, can dribble has a stepback 3, can create his shot. He is way better than Faried. Better all around skills than Faried and Capela. He was the 1st Pick in the Draft, he had health issues, lack of sleep, sleep apnea. I believe. If Daryl sees something in his game he has to give him a chance.
It's ok, Gordon only played the second half of last year anyway. He was a major contributor to early season struggles. He was on the court but barely there. Gordon might be a better player but we have a cap on spending and a more glaring hole at the 4/5 spot then we would at the 1/2 spot without Gordon. It's also easier to pick up a backup 1/2 on the waiver wire than a decent 6'10 guy. Gallinari is so underrated btw. He's a mini Harden at the 4. Extremely efficient, loves shots at the rim and from 3, tough as nails. Your PF going to the line 4-5 times a game is as impactful as Gordon's shooting range.
Are we watching the same player? Mini-Harden, tough as nails? He’s extremely soft, does not play the kind of defense you’d expect from his position and very inconsistent. Nothing like Harden aside from liking the outside shot. I cannot believe people would think he’s the last piece we need and would give up Gordon. Everyone was a part of that early struggles so that’s ridiculous to hold against Gordon.
Either he has improved his shot, and thus will contribute, or he hasn’t, and won’t make the team. There’s no in between here. The scenario where we keep him all season but he doesn’t play is extremely unlikely, regardless of how he pans out.
Yeah to be honest bro I don't think you could possibly have watched him since his rookie years and come to the conclusion he's soft. No one is saying he's the last piece. There is just no way we can afford a last piece so we do with what's possible. No one is giving us that last piece for a 32 year old expiring Gordon who's seeking an expensive extension.
