Honestly it's perfectly fitting for Detroit. Sign the worst of the low paid backup bigs available.

Wherever the money is. So much of this is about cashing checks and they will do it for as long as they can. With so many teams handing out maxes there are so few midsize contracts now that people go wherever they can find them and hope for more playing time to raise the profile to secure another contract. Not everybody can be Chandler Portions.

I used to think the NBA was about talent but it is quite clear that it is very cliquish with the media, agents and front offices.

not really surprised that the lakers didn't go for Morris and J Green. they have forwards and needed guards. Danny Green, KCP, and McGee make sense for them.

Morris is going to shop for the NTMLE now. he's really missing out on the payday everyone thought he'd get.

teams with NTMLE money left: CHA, DEN, MEM, MIN ($7.2M), TOR ($8.3M)

I think one of those teams will pick him up. I think morey will try for covington/iggy and avoid the hard cap of using our NTMLE to sign Morris. but if it were me and I thought the asking price for covington and iggy is too hight, I'd spend on Morris. he's a tough defender, and a capable go-to scorer. he's be great as our starting PF sliding tucker to the 3, and putting ego back to the super-sixth man role. but I'm more worried about not having enough talent than I am being hard capped. give me Morris (if we can even get him) and I don't see the need for more trades this year. hard cap wouldn't matter.

Either Jamycheal Green or Marcus Morris. All the money is dried up. Let’s do this!
