You can't. Those teams will always have that inherent sex appeal advantage.

Global warming. Once Miami, LA, and San Francisco are under water we will be a pre-eminent free agent destination!

They haven't gotten ANYONE at this point. Kyrie is "rumored" to go along with KD etc. So what if they get a free agent or two. Hasn't happened in those cities like you trying to make it seem. And if you don't remember who the 8th seed was this spring in any conference shame on me I shouldnt be engaged in a argument with you...

Esquire, et al, seem to think so.

Warm weather, lots of luxuries for the affluent, large African-American population: Houston should be one of the top destinations for an NBA player. It isn't South Beach or L.A, but the vast majority of NBA cities aren't either.

Again, lots of athletes have homes here. Even if they don't play for the home teams.

Speaking of Houston as if it were SLC, OKC, or Cleveland is just mindboggling.

Stop complaining , we’re nit the top location but in the top 1/4 easily. Better than a vast majority. You have to win and not run your mouth like this .org does

Put in a world class mass transportation system and stop building more lanes on the highway. Build a couple of unique trend setting buildings. Put a giant biodome around the city and set the temperature at 75F.

The lack of mass transportation is why Jimmy went to Miami...

I'm insinuating our traffic problem is bad..not LA bad but bad.

Fixing this issue would certainly make it a more appealing place to live. When it takes over an hour to get somewhere across the city and you have no choice but to take a vehicle, that sucks.

Get a meeting with them first and dazzle them like Pat Riley did.

I knew some **** was wrong when every team that mattered got their star free agent meeting today meanwhile we're waiting in line next week.

Players are simple-minded, if you make the first and big lasting impression, they will just react and sign.

Miami had D.Wade recruiting Butler hard and I'm sure Pat knows how to recruit better than Morey (they did get both Lebron and Bosh).

If that were true San Antonio would get all of the free agents.

Seriously. Ben Dubose and Adam Clanton will probably let you touch their wives.
