One thing I have gotta say. When we gave CP3 that massive contract, we did it in good faith on his last year of an opt-in deal with the Clippers to bring him in. Good on us as an organization to honor that commitment even if it may hurt us currently I think it shows some good loyalty to our players. Given this I would be skeptical of him requesting a trade but if it is true then he should give up part of his contract so we can trade him (is this permitted?).
So you're saying 'Where there's smoke, there's fire and it's all coming from the liar liar whose pants are on fire'?
I think there's clearly "tension" or "creative disagreements" or "clash of styles" or "stubbornness". However, the more extreme angle of CP3 demanding a trade and the relationship is "unsalvageable" seems dubious. I'm sure Morey has done his due diligence on the CP3 contract to see what the market is and I'm sure there is internal disagreement on how much "iso ball" we should be running. We are still in a good spot in the Western pecking order at the moment and with a few minor moves we should still be near the top in the West. Let's see what happens.
Dammit Morley and MDA!!! We're still paying Trevor and Ryan and you didn't give them ANY minutes in the playoffs?!
That doesn't matter. This is Bleacher Report. Just say it's from this year and call it "breaking news".
Dammit man, just when I was turning the corner on b/r and finding them somewhat credible. i will say they are better than bspn on scoring updates though.
Nothing more than a weak attempt by rival execs to steal leverage and discourage already interested FAs from joining Beard-CP. It's a compliment, really. They feel threatened in this post-GSW landscape.
Someone should tell Bleacher Report that Bleacher Report reported that hand-slap back on May 5th.... of last year.... and gave credit to the same guy. This was actually from Game 3 of the Jazz series last year.

Boston Celtics receive: Chris Paul Houston Rockets receive: Gordon Hayward Phoenix Suns receive: Chris Paul Houston Rockets receive: T.J. Warren, Josh Jackson, Tyler Johnson, No. 6 overall pick in 2019 draft Orlando Magic receive: Chris Paul Houston Rockets receive: Mike Conley Memphis Grizzlies receive: Aaron Gordon, D.J. Not that it's realistic, but I'd rather just cut Memphis out and take Gordon, Augustin, and the 16th pick for CP3 rather than Conley.
