https://www.yahoo.com/news/toronto-raptors-masai-ujiri-113207090.html Does Morey have the balls to do this? NO! To be honest, this is an entitled jerk move.
Morey has basketball player height. He wouldn't have been height-profiled like this as a person who shouldn't be on the floor.
This is a statement about character in my opinion. He appears arrogant in the video. He certainly had every right to be on the floor, but he could have used his words as we teach our children. He should be admonished by the NBA and everyone move along.
Masai, just tell 'em you feared for your life and everything will be OK! https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...ive-accused-hitting-cop-after-win/1453997001/ “We were told to strictly enforce the credentialing policy and not allow anyone onto the court without a credential, so our deputies were doing that,” Sgt. Ray Kelly, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said. “Our deputy contacted Mr. Masai Ujiri as he attempted to walk onto the court. He had no credential displayed, and our deputy asked for his credential. “Mr. Ujiri didn’t produce them and pushed our deputy out of the way to gain access to the court. At that point our deputy tried to stop him and pushed him backward and then Mr. Ujiri came back with a second shove, a more significant push that, with his forward momentum, his arm struck our deputy in the face. “At that point our deputy pushed Mr. Ujiri away again and some NBA security people and others intervened and he ended up walking onto the court.” Kelly declined to name the officer and said the police chose not to detain Ujiri on the court because it wouldn’t have been in “anyone’s best interests” to do that on national television, as the Raptors were preparing for the postgame trophy ceremony. “We decided to take the high road in light of their victory but will submit a report for complaint,” Kelly said. It will be up to the district attorney whether charges are brought against Ujiri. “We’ve got two countries involved in this,” Kelly said. “It’s not something we wanted to have happen. It didn’t have to go this route.”
There's nothing in the video that shows Masai being the aggressor. Until further review, you can't conclude that Masai was in the wrong here.
I call bullshit on the police spin here. Chances are the cop was the entitled jerk that initiated the physical confrontation. And Masai Ujiri IS ENTITLED to access the court, and I don't buy the BS that the cop stopped him for lack of credential. How freaking out of touch can you be if you don't recognize the GM of the opposing team who has been at the game the whole time! I hope there will be conclusive video evidence proving the cop was just being a sour loser on a power trip.
Typical police, letting a minor security gig get to their head. I bet that guy feels like a big man today
There you go, that cop can suck a bag of dicks. Shame on the entire police department for lying out of their teeth and threatening to press charges. Masai Ujiri should be the one pressing charges just to teach these asshats a lesson.
