Sixers (if Butler and/or Harris leave)
    Clippers
    Knicks
    Lakers
    Mavs
    Nets
    Pacers

Someone's gonna be holding an empty bag and end up giving Khris Middleton (or equivalent) the max. ;)

Funnily enough, Nets missed out one time (LeBron 2010?) and paid these guys.

He had a much better on-court attitude last season than he did this season. Still I think players change a lot. The right coach might correct his path.

Great move for the Nets, mediocre for the Hawks.

    Prince is a stud. That's a good pick-up.

Crabb is what he was marketed as: an STD - Slightly Talented Defender

Imagine the hilarity if the big free agents sign with the Nets while snubbing the Knicks.

The whole league has caught on to the Rockets philosophies. Absorbing salaries for assets is commonplay now. Marks has been doing that for years and now he's reversing roles and going all-in on a quick turnaround. They better hope for Durant... Kyrie is overrated imo and wouldn't be a good pairing with just D'Angelo Russell.

Atlanta maybe should have have gotten more, but they're smart for taking on salary to pick up further young assets. They have to be looking to package some of those picks to move up or get a young piece. Can't see them drafting 6 players. At a minimum, they seem like a potential target if the Rockets want to acquire a second-rounder.

If the Knicks get bypassed again, oh the carnage! I still think New York is Durant's best play. It's an organization that has been awful for years and needs a savior to turn them around. It seems to be a way to salvage his reputation.

Prince is Better than young Ariza?
    Rookie contract,
Is he worth of 4th pick?
Nets win titles adding Durant and Irving.

Clutch, I can't seem to think of examples of how absorbing contracts for assets was started by the Rockets. I think of Hinkie rebuilding in Philadelphia. Morey has started many trends but absorbing salaries is for rebuilding teams. I can't remember one season under Morey where the Rockets were rebuilding. Even after Yao and Tmac we were a winning team. The Rudy Gay season is the only time I can even remember us being in the lottery. I can also remember a few years ago when Morey collected many unguaranteed contracts to be potentially packaged, but even that plan backfired when no deal came to fruition. Which trades were you thinking of when you made your post?

Your describing the Mavs all the way...just begging to overpay a tier 2 guy like Middleton to take their max money.

The NBA will love nothing more than getting 4 max players in NY, between the Knicks and Nets, to finally make those teams relevant again. They will then kill us with Knicks and Nets games on TNT and ESPN every week.

So, the Hawks have these picks for the upcoming draft:

    8th
    10th
    17th
    35th
    41st
    44th

A lot of picks, probably too much but, really good picks overall, if we can somehow get the 10th and one or two of those 2nd rounders...or Spelmann, that would be kinda good i think.

I can't see the Nets going after Irving...they are committed to Russell at PG and are pretty deep at G in general with LeVert, Dinwiddie and Harris. Definitely have greater needs in the front court where a max player would have more impact.

Woj btw also said the Hawks have been motivated to keep the 8th pick and move the 10th for future assets.

Here, here! Hawks with SIX draft picks in this draft. And their 3 seconds are ALL in the top half of the 2nd too.
