    It's too early?
Blazers won season over Rockets series 2-1. (only 3 games this season)
Thunder have better conference record over Rockets.
Thunder over Rockets 2-1, Game 4 April 9 at Thunder.

-There is a good chance to finish as the second seed or the third seed. Tiebreakers matters.
-It seems that Harden is kind of fatigue or has minor injury the last 5 games.......
    - The better option is to reduce the PT for Harden and Paul, can't rest a game.
-Letting Gordon/Rivers run the show for the bench and rest Harden and Paul together?
    - With adding House to help carry the defense burden are going to be able to rest Harden and Paul.

This is what happens when you don't play hard all season.

i really dont see the 2 seed happening with denver benching IT. they look like their old selves again.

3 or 4 seed is fine with me given where this team was, as long as the first round matchup isnt OKC

This is what happens when you shut down House.

So we finish with a better record than them and this is moot. We have an easier schedule than OKC (one of the hardest) and the Blazers.

It’s almost like wasting the first month of the NBA season was bad

if capela plays as soft as he did last nite it won't matter who we play anyways. you can't win in the playoffs without some production from your bigs. hopefully he wakes up and steps up as he did against kittyKAT/gobear last year

Or it's almost like recovering from a bad month with stellar play ever since wasn't good.

The team can't control/change what was done (e.g. the records against Portland and OKC) but they can control what could be done with the remaining games left. They take care of business and we'll be fine. If not, then they will start the postseason on the road.

Agreed! If the Rockets gave the effort they've given the past few months...they're at least the 2 seed, and probably the 1 seed.

Just gotta finish strong and healthy at this point.

Oh yeah injuries happen only to rockets  Roster was poorly constructed in offseason and every absence hurt more than it should. Its march and its the first week all year long that we resemble complete roster with every role covered

Houston will have the tiebreaker over thunder if we win the 4th game and win 2 of Mem/SA/NO. Division record is a tiebreaker before conference.

EDIT - I was wrong here, but if we are tied for the 4/5 seed we will get home court because we are a division winner.

Isn't division champ the ultimate toe breaker?

Something we will have and neither if them are likely ro have?

Pardon me, i didn't read the OP, but division leaders have ultimate tiebreaker and then it goes into h2h and blah blah blah etc. tiebreakers.

    What am I missing here?

That's what I was under the assumption would occur as well.

Interesting to see if we're wrong.

Lebron got the finals as a 4 seed. Seeding doesn't matter as long as avoid GSW until WCF. If we don't get 2nd or 3rd seed I would rather be 6th or 7th seed.

according to ESPN it's head to head first and then Division Champion next in a two- way tie and Division Champion in a Three Way Tie.

The season is kind of like a game. If you dig yourself a 20-point hole in the first quarter, even though you can climb back to tie the game at the end, you are so exhausted you lose in OT.

When we were having a garbage November, some people said, "It's how we play in June that counts." Well, how we played in November might have something to do with how we play in June.
