IF Lakers are a realistic option by them trading potentially 5 of their guys, can the Pels release 5 from their roster quickly? Remember they can't have more than 15!
I suspect AD made the call now to give the Pels time and every opportunity to get the best deal which for them I believe is Boston, even if that means waiting until the seasons over. Only hitch is if that's the case, do Pels leave AD out for the rest of the season to protect his health?

Pelicans don’t want CP3. They don’t want 4 1st outside of the lottery.

Can someone post the video clip of WOJ saying Klay wants to go to lakers if AD goes, and warriors don’t offer him the MAX.

It’s pretty curious that the Rockets odds are so high. Vegas oddsmakers don’t usually just put out bs. They must know something. Morey must be working the phones like a mad man.

I bet he feels like a genius for matching those pieces together. It's not going to happen however and it was stupid to even bring it up because does he really think Philly wouldn't have to give up way more in that deal and that New Orleans would just be willing to take 4 late 1st Rd Picks over the next 8 years for an MVP candidate? Please! The only way a 3 team deal works between us this:

Phi Out: Embiid or Simmons, Butler
Phi In: Davis, Knight, 2 Late 1st Rd Picks

    NO Out: Davis
NO in: Embiid or Simmons, Chriss, 2 Late 1st Rd Picks

Hou Out: Knight, Chriss, 4 late 1st Rd Picks
    Hou In: Butler

Probably that deal would get flushed too.

    What if....

-Ainge knows he might lose AD because he and his agent jumped the gun on announcing his intentions and wants to 1. stop AD from getting traded to LA and 2. Grabs a player that fills a huge need for them
-Demps can get a decent package of young players and picks back?
-Morey pulls off the unthinkable and gets AD without giving up more than Capela, scrubs and picks?

We add in two 1st Rounders (2019 and 2021)

Boston gets a center who both can anchor their inside defense with Horford and run the PnR with Kyrie, and a very serviceable player in Randle. And yes I do think a Capela/Randle swap for Hayward/Brown is a good move for Boston.

New Orleans, after Houston's 2 picks, gets a young solid player in Brown and while Hayward hasn't been back to pre-injury Hayward, he's still got time to get back to where he was. Hell give them four 1sts if you want.

Houston rolls the dice on AD and hopes he stays.

The reason why trading the entire farm for AD isn't a bad idea is because he's still under contract for next year which means if it doesn't work out or he doesn't want to sign the extension with your team, you can trade him to Boston/Lakers later down the line.

Every team including the Warriors should be throwing an offer at NO knowing that the Lakers and Celtics are so desperate to get him.

The only reason you wouldn't throw a big offer at them is if you're emotionally attached to your players.

People here who wouldn't trade Capela for AD are out of their minds. AD is ONLY 25 yo and he's an MVP caliber player. It's more of if the Pelicans will even look at our offer with so many teams in the mix but Morey has to at least try or we really don't have a good chance at beating the Warriors this season.

Philly has the unprotected 2021 MIA pick, which could prove to be extremely valuable.

Also, NOP would want to offload as many LT deals as they could, not take on more!

HOU out: Knight, Chriss, 4 1sts
    HOU in: Butler

PHI out: Butler, Fultz, Zhaire, Muscala, Chandler, 2021 MIA 1st
    PHI in: Davis, Moore/Hill, Knight

    NOP out: Davis, Moore/Hill
NOP in: Zhaire, Fultz, Chriss, Chandler, 5 1sts

    HOU gets their guy Butler
PHI gets a filthy trio of Ben-AD-Joel for the next 10 years
NOP gets a treasure trove of assets and expirings to rebuild with

AD is going to Celtics this summer (July 1) because Pelicans won't be pressured trade him before the trade deadline. LA needs to throw kitchen sink at Pelicans to even have a chance. Rockets need to do the same but who are the untouchables?

    Untouchables??? Ummm only Harden

No one will want Cp3 on his contract.

N.O won’t want Gorden, so don’t think we will have enough.

Crazy looking at Lou $8mil, bev $5mill, Harrell $6mill contracts and a 1st.

We had some assets, but CP3 has been good In playoffs when healthy. These young stars have been up for grabs if you have assets. More will be on the table soon and free agents.

Lmao this is such bullshit! Klay would never say something like this during the season.

The warriors just want Davis to go to the Lakers and not the Rockets. Our 2 man game would be the highest, most efficient offense with Harden and Davis running it.

Nah, it's probably just agent games. Trying to get leverage for contract negotiation.

Those cocky pansies all need each other. They know that if they go to a non all-star team they won't be able to shimmy around and stroke their egos every night. They might actually lose. Where is the sportsmanship in that?

    (Klay ain't leaving GS.)

Not saying it would happen. Especially since Simmons and Davis share an agent, I think. And Embiid probably isn't going anywhere.

Was this a complete hypothetical? Are we all just a bunch of jerks on ESPN's Trade Machine?

    Sphincter unclenched. Relaxing.

Bro the warriors are on an 11 game win streak. Klay knows he will get paid in the off season and isnt worried. If the warrriors really do try to lowball him he will just sign elsewhere. Why would he put that out right now?

They know if davis goes to the lakers that he and an old lebron with no one else are not a threat. But to philly, hou, tor, boston, or mil and they will start getting worried.

If he wants to go to the Lakers he’s either not the smartest guy, or winning isn’t actually a priority. In what world is going to a 9th seed with a 34 year old star the best way to contend. And if you’re Lebron doing everything you can to get Davis, it’s just as bad. The guy misses time every single season.

    CC + EG + Chriss + 4 picks + 2 picks swaps = AD + Hill

The Warriors won't lowball Thompson and he wouldn't leave. The agent knows that and floated this as a "credible threat" that he can use to get a few extra dollars at renegotiating time. It's almost always agents leaking these things and driving these narratives.

These douches will never leave the douche lair. If Klay goes to the Lakers he is actually going to have to work hard again, with no Kerr, Steph, or Kevin to cry for him. Aint happening.
