How good a player do you have to be to demolish a snowballing media campaign against you? Harden not only silenced them all, but he has them rooting for him. Dude is such a winner it's incredible to watch.

And I don’t even understand that argument. Not efficient by dated metrics like FG%, sure. But on a points per possession basis, isn’t harden one of the best in the league? That’s efficiency if you ask me.

Did we ever answer the question on WHO ordered the hit...?

    My thoughts...
    • Khloe Kardashian/Lamar Odom (45%) - Kardashian curse lives!
    • Kenny Smith (20%) - for bitterness of not being hired as head coach.
    • Mark Jackson (10%) - for the 3PTs made record being set against him as a Warriors coach.
    • Kevin Martin (8%) - for being completely forgotten
    • David Stern (7%) - for undermining his lifelong goal to cripple the Rockets since 1986
    • Kevin McHale (5%) - no explanation needed, and he has deep roots with the media.
    • Jeremy Lin (3%) - for taking his team away from him.
    • Chandler Parsons (2%) - for not being referred to as the 3rd star during the Chris Bosh pursuit.

    Interesting. I put it at:

Adam Silver 100% - Harden's "style" on the court and off the court doesn't fit in with the wholesomeness (Curry) or media savviness (LeBron) of his peers

This is akin to Allen Iverson bringing in the "thug culture" that Stern effectively killed with the implementation of the NBA dress code.

Harden's game is old school and timeless at the same time. He's athletic, but its his superior instincts, ball handling, shooting, vision and relentlessness that set him a part.

A few years ago, it was his lack of defense that the media focused on. He still has a lapse now and then, but he's picked up his defensive contributions both in the post and the passing lanes. He's fourth in steals and routinely makes big men look silly in the post, yet he gets NO credit for his defense. Hell, defensive rebounding is one of our weaknesses and he filled that gap last game with 15 boards!

Offensively, he truly is an anomaly. He prefers to get his teammates involved and open looks, but when that has failed he has put the team on his back and put together a historic run of offensive success and efficiency. He picked it up after HOF PG Paul went down. He took it up another notch when Gordon went out. Finally, when Capela went out, he has RISEN to a level not seen since Wilt ruled the 60s.

I use to get disappointed in James, because it seemed he just didn't have that killer instinct and unstoppable drive the greatest turn on in the biggest moments. That changed last year when Morey finally got him more help, but this year it hasn't mattered, because even with repeated player injuries and failures he has been truly exceptional to the point he's on a legendary run.

F-ck the media! I'm tired of their propaganda whether its on sports, politics or world affairs. I'm so proud of the player James Harden has become and can't wait to see how he continues to evolve.

Cuttino started off real sketchy on Harden but semi redeemed himself. Granted the moron host kept leading him on. So Cuttino averaged 18 shots a game. What would he do with 24 shots a game? Not ****ing average 36 points per game, you stupid mother****er. So the more impressive Harden gets the further we’re going to have to go to make **** up.

First they made up that he’s inefficient. Than they made up that he’s a ball hog. Now they’re saying anyone can do this.

When Jordan averaged 37ppg he put up nearly 28 shots per game and went to the line 12 times a game. What a **** teammate. Obviously anyone can do that.

Stephen A out here acting like we didn't take them to 7 last year and we should have won it. Unreal anti-Rockets going on with the media.

    More backhanded complements today.

    David Griffin on nba radio:
His step back is a low effort shot
    Sometimes a travel
If you deny him the ball for a few possessions you will score against them on everyone haha
Worry how his playing style will work when they have good players again that don’t want to stand around and let him doin everything
    Compared him to worldbfree

According to some haters all you need to do to be a playoff team in the NBA is have the best player on your team, whoever that is, take all the shots. Because, of course, that player will average over 40 points a game. It's that easy people.

Mobley's best year: 18.4 FGA for 21.7 PPG.
Harden this year: 23.9 FGA for 36.3 PPG.

In other words, to match Harden's output, those five extra shots Cuttino would be talking every game would have to ALL be threes, and he'd have to hit every f%$king one, all 370 of them. Miss just 5% of those 370 3-pointers and he'd come up short.

Yeah I hate this constant drumbeat from these players who act like they could do the same thing. At least Mobley was a "scorer." Kenny Smith saying he would average 40 a night in this era was unreal.

I'm pretty sure Kenny Smith is defending against the narrative too.

He keeps preaching it's not something everyone can do. Less than 5 in the league, for sure.
