guys get hurt at all times of a season and that includes the beginning. a lot of guys even come into the start of a season hurt. injuries are just part of competitive sports. that's never going to change

At this point, I am ready for Morley to land us a 6'3" back up center.

If Morey goes out and gets some help for James by way of trade, Paul can take his sweet time coming back.

I think Paul is nerves are getting the best of him. It would have to be hard to come back as the CO-leadership of the team when Harden has proven he doesn’t need Paul but everyone knows Paul needs Harden.

That, and Chris doesn't get nervous, as last year's playoffs proved.

When he is healthy, he is by far the best PG in the NBA.

I don't know why Paul or anyone can believe that Harden has proven he doesn't need Paul even in the middle of the greatest scoring streak ever. In fact, it proves that Harden needs Paul and every healthy and able body he can get. That is, of course, we want to relive the 2016-2017 campaign where Harden was also putting on a one-man onslaught only to be suffocated in the playoffs.

So your all time Rockets list goes back as far as 2005ish?

I think you're missing about 34 years of Rocket history there. :D

Never said Harden had to prove anything...

What I started was Paul has a very daunting task ahead. The dynamics of the team have changed. How much leadership does he really have now in the eyes of teammates.
—Harden is at an all time level. How will Paul respond to a subordinate role?
    — Rivers and Paul have history, too.
    — Paul body is quietly quitting on him. How will he respond?
    — it’s the first time probably in his life he is not Alpha. How will he respond?
—How much does he “keep his health” vs “play to win”?

Paul has a lot going on.

No one knows until he comes back right? We can only hope that these questions (which are valid) goes the way how similar questions of fit came up when we first traded for Paul and last year's season put all of those questions, skeptics, etc. to rest.

Raptors gonna MURDER us on nationally televised game.

Media will fail to realize harden has nobody and will continue trying to tear down his godly numbers by saying we lost big

I bet Kawhi guards Harden for 3-4 possessions when Harden is running out of gas and the media will jump on the opportunity to reintroduce Kawhi into the MVP discussion.

That's basically what Pop did a couple of years ago i think...he had Green on Harden for most of the game, and in the last minutes put Kawhi (a much more physical defender) on him.

Yeah. To be honest it's going to be rough. Their defensive ceiling is so high. Kawhi, Green and Lowry on the perimeter with Siakam roaming and Ibaka patrolling. Their defense is so asphyxiating, they switch/space/contract surgically.

IMO this is the most difficult defense in the NBA, more than the Warriors and Celtics. I doubt they double him at all and they will be disciplined about not fouling him.

If he goes for an efficient 40/8/8 and we win it would be more impressive to me than the Warriors win. No team is better suited to limit Harden. But he has shut so many people up and I think Harden secretly wants this game more than most. I hope the team is ready to support, we will need contributions from everywhere.

Glad he's out, let all the Starters rest. MDA needs to pull a pops. Just keep a few games back of 2 seed until CP3 and Capela is fully healthy..we need 2, 3, 6 or 7 seeds in order to prevent a 2nd round match up against GSW because we all know they are getting the 1 seed
