Sometimes people like "will" more than "should". Nuggets have 6.9 tax space and 32 million TPE. Trade Chris/Nene/protected First to Nuggets for peanut. Tilman gets luxury tax distribution income. It worths 15 million dollars.
I like the idea to send 2019 unprotected First to Cavs to get JR Smith (salary dump trade). It's much easier for Morey to operate in July.
ATL IN: Knight, Nene, Chriss, Hartenstein and two firsts HOU IN: Bazemore, Prince and Dedmon CP3/Rivers Harden/Bazemore/Green Gordon/Prince/Ennis PJ/Clark Capela/Dedmon/Faried Idk if two firsts is enough but that would set the Rockets up perfectly.
I’d love to get lee but I know they’re looking to spend this summer so the knight contract doesn’t really help that
Knight and Houston 2019 1st to Cleveland JR Smith, Marqueese Chriss,to NY along with a future 2nd from Houston Hardaway and Nene to Indiana (they probably want to leg out season, gives them help to replace Dipo.) Kyle Oquinn and Thaddeus Young to Houston
CAN it work? I think so. SHOULD the Rockets even remotely consider giving up a first rounder (or even two second rounders) plus House for a guy on a two-way contract? Nope.
It wouldn’t be that shocking if we don’t end up trading for someone worthwhile before the deadline. I’m not sure how much Morey is willing to give up for a Bazemore. Doubt it’s two FRPs. He also has to consider next year another year of contention and how every summer decent names will pop up. If we don’t give up any first rounders, we’ll continue to learn more about this team after the playoffs, and we’ll go into the summer with assets like Knight’s expiring, possibly House, and all our future first rounders. Also, making the draft pick ourselves can increase the value of the pick. Melton was more valuable than a 2nd round pick.
Thaddeus Young is a dog, but he can’t shoot the 3. Not quite sure how he would fit offensively. I love his defense and effort but if we are giving up a first for a wing, I want him to able to shoot and play D.
Damn. I was never on the “we miss Ariza” train, but I just saw a couple of minutes of the Washington-Golden State game and I miss him.
Jeff Green can defend shoot 3s and can play multiple positions. He's an UFA in 2019. Currently in 1 year deal with Washington. Thoughts?
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yagedaw2 Could this trade work? Gasol,Mack to Lakers Zubac, Pope, Rondo, Mykhailuk, Knight, Chriss 1st from LA, 2nd from Houston to Grizzlies. Green, Temple to Houston See heres what you do. The thinking here is, since 2 roster spots are open. The hope is Pope gets bought out and comes to Houston.you can re-work this trade in a way to let Mack go to Los Angeles. This allows us to add 2 really good wings and another decent big. This is actually great trade for Memphis, Zubac will be a center Memphis can use for the future with Mykhailuk also being a nice piece to build around. It is similar to the Pau Gasol trade they made years ago where Marc was sent back.
He doesn't know, but it's a good guess since the Lakers are apparently after guys like Davis, Durant, Kawhi, Butler, probably Klay, Beal too...
