My first impression after reading the article: probably some mutual fault here.

    • Beverley always has the adrenaline going.
    • But fans have zero repercussions or boundaries
    • Beverley is right, he doesn't have a history of going after fans
    • Still, this sounds like too short of a fuse on Beverley's part
    • Yet, it is frustrating (in his position) if he did inform security and staff and nothing happened
    • Mavs involved

So, after this rambling: verdict: 50/50 blame.

Man, no one wants that ball more than Beverley, I'm serious.

Did you watch. Looked like it was in fun. It was a bounce pass to Don Knobler -- a super fan, and Don was laughing and having fun. Like sending a bounce pass to Lawanda and her man.

Yeah, that's not throwing a ball. Soft bounce pass more like it.

When I hear "throwing a ball" my reference point is Ainge to Mario Ellie's face.

By comparison, I'm a little underwhelmed.

I don't have a huge problem with the decision to eject Beverley, although I think it would have been better to just give him a technical. He'll probably get fined for his action.

With that said, what I saw in that video doesn't really qualify as a "throw", and I didn't see anything "forceful" in his action. He just mildly bounced the ball towards that (presumably annoying) fan. Bev's decision was clearly intentional, but it looked like it was more in fun or mild frustration. There was no intent to harm.

rofl, I thought he nailed him in the face when it was just a soft bounce pass. He should've gotten a tech at the most and the fan should've been ejected.

Too bad we all know in Dallas, this is how they run things. Let their "classy" fans spit and curse on the players and get away with it.

Yea it wasn’t a big deal. I’m sure that fan deserved it or more but it’s a professional league so you can’t do that on the job.
Pat is one of my fav players even if he gets a lot of hate
