We have won 100% of the games in which we have scored more than the other team, and by the way, tonight’s game told us a tremendous amount about the season
Nice win! Offense was moving. Players had that extra effort we have been missing. It's nice to see the team respond to the series of bad losses with some tenacity.
yeah just wait until one of Harden or Paul is out, we look like a lottery team again. Rockets fully healthy = possible contender, lose Harden/Paul, = lottery
Our top 5 players are overkill for NBA except gsw. Will we stay fresk come wcf time? Health and depth is major problem that needs and i hope will be adresed. We still got mle
I’m sick and tired of all the overreactions one way or the other. On CF we are either the best team in the league or in the running for the #1 draft pick. I’d say the win is nice but SA is in its own funk. If we know anything it’s that we will need a lot of luck to be healthy in the playoffs. The other thing is a fully healthy GSW team has more depth than our team as currently constructed. Last year’s Rockets could have taken them out fully healthy. This year we will need luck (ie our team healthy and injuries for the GSW).
In basketball and in life. "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone." - Joni Mitchell Health has totally been everything with this year's Rockets. When we're healthy, we're great. When we're not, we don't have enough guys. Everyone back but Nene and Knight and they're on the way. Makes every difference.
I'm sick of them too. But it really was amazing to see the effect that having our guys back had on our shooting and defense, both. When they're stretched too thin we have 3-4 guys have monster nights, play 40+ minutes, and lose to a bad team. When we have a full complement of players, it seems to make everyone better.
Health is always important. People always couch their team in the terms "If Healthy" this team can do blah blah blah. The KEY......is mitigating the "KNOWN" health issue. e.g. CP will get hurt. Nene will get hurt. EG will miss a handful of games. This is 100%. So, BENCH DEPTH OR a 3rd Star is paramount for this team. Morey knows this. But moves have to be made.
Agree completely, though I'd say Capela is looking like a third star or, if not, very much on his way there. We need more/better role players. Last night our role players looked better than ever but that was with a healthy team. We don't have enough guys to withstand injuries that will definitely happen, you're right.
