Not sure what went wrong or what’s going on but he wasn’t that bad for our team. Anderson gave us nothing and as long as Melo gave us more than Anderson did I thought it was a win/win situation for us. Maybe he wasn’t happy with his minutes.
It's only a little over 10 games in the season. Whatever conclusion you've come to about Melo's tenure here can't be very well thought out
Yeah me and people like @J.R. have been counting down the games that don’t tell us anything if you haven’t noticed And it’s been pointed out numerous times on this board. Melo hasn’t been good for years. It isn’t some 10 game sample. Reality check once again It’s westbrooks fault
Because it did work out. Before that last 0-11 game Melo’s EFG% was at 52% well above his career average WHILE we were playing with 26th best offense. His efficiency was going to get even better. Kid refused to grow up despite being given multiple chances to change after failures. It was a smart risk.
I didn't mean to lump Artest in with malcontents like Dwight and TMAC. With Artest he did some crazy/silly things behind the scenes that no one knew about until years later is what I meant. Just another example how Rockets don't talk about this stuff.
I just wonder why they haven’t released him yet if they all seem to think it’s over. What’s the wait? Something is going on we don’t know about. Maybe COD is right and there still trying to maybe give it one more shot. I know cp3 wants him here. I think harden is down if he can accept his role. This whole thing is confusing. What’s the hold up if we’re just releasing a vet minimum guy?
You dont get it. I am genuinely thanking Lebron if he is responsible for us getting rid of Melo. Because of this generous act, I might even considering moving Lebon into my list of Top 50 players in the history of the NBA to ever play the game.
Didn't Melo complain about the defensive schemes before D'Antoni announced they are sticking to it and the return of Bzdelik? I think Melo leaves once Bzdelik is back.
I believe it's Melo's side who started this negotiation because there is no reason why Rockets would want to cut him. Melo might be unhappy with his role in the team and try to get a more important role, which is what Morey has been evaluating.
The Rockets don't do spectacles. They deal with the situation internally. Whatever is happening is happening. They aren't blaming Melo, but role is clearly something that him and the Rockets need to be in communication about. All we can do is speculate at this point.
