http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y7hzjc3f How about this trade as soon as we can package Knight and Chriss?
I like the Mahal. Looking at the Rockets roster, and our rotations, you can really see how IMPORTANT PJ Tucker is. He is the starting PF AND backup C. He is a dump truck. But if he gets ANY kind of injury.....this team is in trouble. They don't have someone to pick up the slack there. That's why I was very curious about James Johnson from Miami. The Mahal isn't as versatile as JJ, but can easily play the 4/5. PLUS his "attitude" would fit right in with this team. That toughness. I don't see anyway to get him unless they move Brandon Knight. *IF* the Rockets missed out on Butler....getting spare parts role players like Taj & Ty Jones would be a coup in my opinion.
LOL, that is exactly what needs to happen. The Rockets getting Butler without giving up Gordon or Tucker and then the Kings getting Wiggins. That would be an all timer. Butler aside.....the Kings getting Wiggins feels like it just has to happen. Like some sort of cosmic destiny. I can see Morey calling up Glen Taylor and saying "look at all of these good players you get for Butler, ALL OF THESE PLAYERS!"
I didn't know Morey was "The Cleaner". This sheds a whole new light on this trade scenario. If he can "Clean" up Minnies mess by cleansing them of JB while keeping E.G. And PJ , that means he is truly going after GS's throat. I hope he lives up to his reputation and pulls this off. I know the odds have to slim but I will allow myself to fantasize until I'm told otherwise.
Let's be realistic, Rockets are not getting Jimmy without giving up Eric at least. No way. Unless there is a team out there that highly values Zhou, Harstenstein, Chriss or Clark and are going to give us an FRP for them along with taking on Knights contract, there is no way a trade scenario for Jimmy would work. I am highly skeptical of Cods ears in this case. I know Morey is damn good at his job, but he would have to be fleecing someone big time for something like that to go down. Cod, huge fan, but I'm not buying that info.
At this point i just hope the Kings will do a "right" thing for once...in the end, they'll lose their pick this season (it's top 1 protected and goes to Boston) so, they have no reason to tank. and since their team is obviously bad, they might as well try to get some players at this point...not sure why they would want Wiggins, but if it helps us land Jimmy...let them get Wiggins, Taj (i really like Taj but i don't think he's a good fit as a starter here, great coming off the bench though) or whatever it takes to make them trade a good piece to Minnie, Cauley, Giles or Hield...
So let me just update what I said earlier on this thread with the whole trading fiasco: Minnesota: ALRIGHT, are you able to add PJ now? Hou: NO. Matter of fact, no more Ego. You can get Knight, Chriss, and fillers for wasting my time. Minnesota: Umm, what about Miami? Still able to add more? Miami: No. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. THE CYCLE CONTINUES AGAIN...
