This years pick was integral to getting rid of Anderson's contract, arguably our biggest offseason move
Yes BK or MC cannot be traded today, but they can as of Oct 31 and if agreed on in principle they could be part of the deal. In my opinion I still think it's a 3 team deal at best for Houston, especially if time is on the essence. Also, would not be surprised to see Diengs contract come back to the Rockets.
We also made a strong push for Harden, Dwight (at least twice), Chris Paul (at least twice) and Melo (third time is a charm). How'd those go?
Well those First Round Picks are Important no matter what. Clint Capela, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma were low First Rounders. Daryl History of Drafting Low First Rounders has been bad, Except Capela.
I knew someone was going to come with this ****. Chris Paul was a S&T, Dwight was a free agent. Melo is like what? 3 years later than we wanted him? Also a free agent. Harden is the only one of these that was an actual straight up trade. So nice try being a smart ass.
You mentioned Bosh who we never tried to trade for. We tried to sign him as a free agent. So if you're going to be a dick at least be consistent. I'd also add that we attempted to trade for Chris Paul, Nene, Dwight and Melo. All of them eventually made their way here. It's as if doing everything you can to get a guy makes them feel warm and fuzzy about your organization and more open to talking to them when they're eventually a free agent.
If we land Butler, I say we trade him at the deadline with Capela for Anthony Davis. How brilliant would that be? Basically turning Capela + Gordon + picks for Davis.
Ok, Berman drops this bomb 4 days ago and nothing since? Grrrrr..... I would appreciate a new tweet from the guy even if its just to say no new information to tell ya....
All teams are out already due to high demand. We are the only team left with "Strong Push". It's time for Berman to speak up after strong push.
