I still say that Houston getting "creative" would mean sending Brandon Knight to the Kings, and no other Rocket (he can't be packaged with other Rockets players yet). Since Knight makes more than the Kings' $11,000,000 cap space, the Kings would have to send, say, McLemore's expiring of around $5,000,000 to Minnesota, along with EGO and maybe Hartenstein. From there you get into whatever fourth team is involved (Miami? Washington?) and whatever players get moved around. Hell, if there is not another Rocket involved, Chriss could even get sent to that third team. Whether we wind up with Butler or good secondary players (Tyus, JJ or Winslow, Taj, etcetera) would have to be commensurate with losing EGO and draft picks. Of course, whenever you have more than two teams, deals fall apart more easily, or never gain traction to begin with.
They tried to mirror his minutes with Nick Young. And yes he was missing switches and rotations while he was out there. I don’t feel like doing a full breakdown of this because it doesn’t matter in grand scheme, but if you want 3rd party analysis of his defense look up the Dunc’d on Rockets Season review podcast from a few days ago
Wrong wrong wrong, Knight can't be traded 60 days after his signing. Unless wolves can wait the 60 days.
Plus (as mentioned elsewhere) it was Butler's camp leaked his trade demand - which significantly hurts any leverage Minny would have had... Face it - Butlers a diva ass who's more than happy to screw over a guy that's been his greatest proponent/supporter (Thibs)... this crap is worse than D12 throwing SVG under the bus and lying about it on camera... Worst of all... i understand its a business and all - and people gotta maximize the paycheck... but its not even about that... Jimmy's gonna get his max money regardless of where he lands... Screw this dude...
[Wojnarowski] The Minnesota Timberwolves' asking price to trade All-Star forward Jimmy Butler remains quality veterans, top prospects, future assets and salary cap relief, which is presently too steep of a package for interested teams, league sources told ESPN. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24811508/timberwolves-asking-price-holding-jimmy-butler-trade
Spamming the guy isn't cool in my book, but you do you. He posts what he can when he can, it isn't like going to a rock concert and demanding an encore here.
