When did Tim MacMahon become a source for Rockets? I still expect the starters to be Clint Melo PJ James CP PJ can guard every position....doesn't matter if he's 3 or 4. Hell, we was signed to be a 3 that can play four lol. It's all good.....what ever works and we win **** lol
Why would this have anything to do with a Butler trade. If Rockets decided to float this info for a reason, Ockam's razor dictates this would be a trial balloon to see Melo's reaction to media saying Gordon is starting and he's coming off the bench. Doubtful this is about EGo's ego regarding a trade, when all talk centers around Melo's ego.
and you'll be expecting wrong but by all means believe what you want to believe "PJ/Melo being 4's"-MDA has no bearing to you apparently
Because now that we're confirmed to have made an offer, it makes sense that we would ensure Gordon doesn't get demotivated. I don't think it's all that complex. Doing a trial balloon does seem risky to me. I'm sure they've at least discussed the issue with Melo and have an understanding. Looking at how everyone answers the question, it seems what's been said is: no guarantee you start, no guarantee you don't start, you get the chance to compete for a starting spot and coach has final say. That's why it sounds like Melo hasn't conceded the fight but he understands the possibility, MDA hasn't made up his mind, and everyone else is staying out of it.
I think this is more of saying EG is a starter on rockets team, therefore his trade value is on bar with Butler.
it is complex to say MDA/Morey are releasing info to stroke an Ego. It's just not complex thinking for the BBS. I'm voting that there is no trial balloon. That's just too complex to say Morey/MDA concocted a story., when this is just a natural lineup to try, and they are definitely going to play this fivesome, as they already have last year. Only thing new would be as starters....still an obvious thing to look at. I'm voting the news is just a leak. It's not uncommon for a leak of this nature to happen at a camp. There are a lot of media and staff attending.
Hmmm... Paul Harden Gordon Tucker Capela I guess EG and Paul will sit early and then they’ll bring in Melo and Ennis. Harden Ennis Melo Tucker Capela Then bring Paul and Gordon back in Paul Gordon Ennis Melo Chriss I can dig it.
To each their own I guess. I don't doubt the truth of the story, I just think the timing is interesting.
of course much better than trevor ariza...who will be forgoten after couple of rs games...a Renaissance will happen to our offense with ariza gonne
Rox: "Melo is a starter!" Minny: "We don't want a 6th man in return for Jimmy B., we need a starter." Rox: "Melo to the bench. EGo is a starter!"
IF Melo actually excepts this role we are going to be a very hard team to beat. Finish the halves with the hot hand(s) or rest on the lead and develop the younger talent. It’s crazy to see waive after waive of talent that fits together like this. Fingers crossed it works. Every player logs 20+ minuets (less Chriss). Eight man rotation—> coach is happy. Hopefully we are developing our youth more nights than not, too. Team stays well rested but battle ready at the same time.
I assumed he was when we signed him. I’m shocked there has been more talk about whether it’s EG or Melo than him. Out of the three he’s most likely going to provide what we will supposedly miss without Ariza.
