the hack. But it's probably true to a certain extent. Anyway Butler didn't leak it to Stein for Minny to hear, but for the other interested pursuers to give up.
If they stay firm that they won't trade any of these guys outside of Winslow then I just can't see a deal happening. It means they would HAVE to trade either (Whiteside, T.Johnson. J.Johnson) along with Winslow which is just a flat out bad package, even if they wanted to take Dieng back they would have to include two of those large negative contracts... AND there's no way Whiteside and Towns can share a floor together so I'd take him out. So the offer is either Tyler Johnson OR James Johnson + Winslow and a 1st for Butler OR Tyler AND James Johnson + Winslow and a 1st for Butler AND Dieng. Considering JJ contract is just as bad as Diengs, it doesn't make much sense. I think Hou could offer a better deal then these two. Only way Mia could pull it off is if Minny really likes one or both of the Johnsons and Mia is willing to include two first with Winslow.
I think players like LeBron and Butler realize they can't compete for a title without joining the Warriors or Rockets and have made peace with that, rather focusing on where would be a chill place to live for the next 3-5 years. I mean, would you rather not win a title in Cleveland or Minnesota, or go "title-less" in Miami/LA Seems pretty clear. They're just gonna phone it in for 82 games.
How long is Minn realistically gonna drag this on? If the offers aren’t getting any better everyone knows he’s gonna get moved so may as well decide and evade some of the media circus.
Why would Miami want to trade dragic? He is their only all-star. It seems like a lateral move. Who is running the Point for them if not him?
