Jr smith and Korver to Houston for Anderson, Pick would make alot of sence. Cavs said they were interested, and tires were kicked, wonder what happen?
May make sense but is it the BEST Morey can get for Anderson? My guess is this is like worst he can do. Think he’s looking for something more.
He’s untradeable unless you attached a bunch of picks and assets with him which isn’t worth it. Most likely he will be a Rocket when the season begins.
Would make zero sense for Cleveland. Source/Link? Spoiler No, Zach Lowe did not say the Cavs were interested. He said the Rockets kicked the tires.
Hell No. Ryno's contract is the only way to improve this team be it this season , next offseason or next years trade deadline. When he's moved (with other assets) you have to get back a really good player … maybe not a "star" but a very good #2 or #3 type option …. The team that eventually ends up with Anderson will get a lot of flexibility / cap relief and probably draft assets too , I don't think you give all that away for this poo platter.
Was just thinking, unloading Ryno at the trade deadline is really anticlimactic but might be our best bet. If it's all about the playoffs and maintaining our flexibility, it's much easier to trade him when there's 1.5 years left on his contract rather than 2 years. By the all star break, he's a half season away from being an expiring contract. Could save us draft picks or allow us to get a better player back. Especially for example in the case of someone like Batum who has 1 more year than Anderson on his contract. Focus on the playoffs rather than the regular season. That way we don't overexert ourselves trying to get #1 seed, and at the same time possibly walk into the playoffs with a better roster than the last playoffs.
I agree. And it's not like ryno is a terrible regular season performer. Hell, he was dunking on fools last year.
Right. As much as we would all like to just dump the contract... If he's still alive and wants to play basketball for 20 million dollars, you could do worse for a backup big man. Let his stock increase a bit maybe, see what's available at the deadline? The point is, his contract isn't so bad and the Rockets aren't in bad position because of it, so bad that it's worth giving up future assets JUST to move on when he can still be a productive player in the short term. Really, it's all about what's in Ryan's head at the moment. Can he/will he return?
Now that Fat Carmelon has been signed, back to fantasy trade scenarios to unload Ryan Anderson! Ryan Anderson for Jimmy Butler Ryan Anderson for Kevin Love Ryan Anderson for Otto Porter Ryan Anderson for opposing team's good player
Agree. Those teams need to gift us an additional asset (pick or young player) to make it worth our while.
