He's got an agent he doesn't need to be here to agree to a deal. There's a high probability that there's a hold up. If he wants guaranteed starter position and minutes then bye Felicia.

 

Or or or maybe he just wants to physically be here in person himself to signed with the team he’s been wanting to be with since last year! All the media driven nonsense about Melo is weak.

 

What's he going to do, sail into Houston, pop the hatch, and say "Here I am"?

Not really, we can be fine with a weak starter as long as they can play good defense and hit a 3.

I think the signs are there that there is a legit holdup and must be good reasons for it on the Rockets side.

I’ve been blasted before and I’ll be blasted again for saying that but how many times have we been here before? Truth is... the signs are there we should not assume Melo is definitely going to be a Rocket, and we should trust Morey if he is walking on Melo (if that news breaks soon). I think he’s earned our trust here that there must be something that happened or something that would be a negative for the team.

 

Marc stein answered my tweet yesterday evening. He confirmed Melo is still signing in Houston (the Africa trip has been the delay)

 

Two things - either we are waiting to trade someone (which I doubt it would effect the signing of Melo)

Or, there is a bump on the road. Which I tend to think this may be the case with Melo signing.

Imagine the narrative would be if we don't sign Melo on the cheap. We would be staring at a glaring hole at the 3 or 4 spot.
Media out there would prolly have us falling off the playoffs, lol.

He was or still is in Africa, no one should be concerned. He knows where he’s going, him CP and harden are already training together. Training camp has not started it’s no rush both sides have an agreement and The great WOJ has confirmed it. When he gets back he will sign,
