I just want to chime in and get on record that I agree with the posters/talking heads that think Melton will turn out to be an All-Star. If he can shoot 35%+ from 3, he is literally the perfect PG next to a ball-dominant SG like Harden. The reason he can be better than Avery Bradley, as a comparison, is his potential as a playmaker and passer. We're so lucky to have him and Capela as our players who have a chance to significantly improve.
I still can't believe this boy fell as far as he did. If his shot is even decent he's gonna be a great rotation player at the least. I'm gonna hold off on the possible star talk until I see him against actual NBA competition. But everything about his game looks tailor made to help the team this season once he gets his feet wet.
IF he develops under Paul, he will be at the very minimum a good 6th man. Remember this comment, we have a gem. Plz keep him Morey (unless it's to dump Ryno for JJ and maybe Justise)
I like the kid's game but he will definitely have to earn those minutes. D'Antoni likes who he likes and it's tough to break through that. But it could happen.
