at this point, with the limited resources/ability to make moves, it would make sense for hou to try to grab him especially with the current holes in the roster. It's more of a forced hand but I get it. It's just not something I anticipate being an upgrade for houston. There's way too many questions with melo at this point of his career. Almost all of them are negative
I like the deal if involved moving Ryno. Gets the Rockets a clean bill with good contracts to continue to upgrade the team. As a player ... hate the deal. I see him as Josh Smith a few years back with worse defense. I see him as a big issue in the starting lineup who would kill the team on both ends and take Harden/CP out of their rythym. I see no evidence that he’s ready to take that kind of role at all too. So again ... to move Ryno.... yes!!... anything else... no. Please no. Just resign IsoJo if that’s the case.
Melo agreed to a trade to OKC for winning and now he whines like he had to go through hell. \ It was ONE single year. I don't think winning is priority at all for him.
I don't know. I like Anderson's expiring contract. You can get a good player for $20M. Melo for the MLE is cool too.
I don't think he goes Lakers unless they deal some of the young guys. If he goes there, he would only stunt the growth and sap into their minutes. Here... He could start thx to Ariza's departure. Rebound after a horrid year. Who knows... maybe even CP revitalizes him. It's as simple as it gets unless he wants sunshine and retirement.

At this point it is totally worth trying though. He won't be playing with guys chasing their own stats... He will have not 1 but 2 guys that elevate the game of others. The volume of shots will be there with our pace, but now they will be more open shots if he plays right in the system. That will be there key there.

I think it's very simply here, if Paul (and Harden) want Melo here, Morey will try to bring him here, especially if the 3 spot will still have a hole going forward. Personally though, i think he might very well opt for the Lakers now, assuming Lebron wants him.
