I was just giving you the numbers. Butler would be fantastic here. It's the "how to acquire him" part that is the problem. FYI Teague has a better PPP in isolation (0.98) than Butler in approximately the same number of possessions per game. I don't think the T-Wolves offense is the problem with Butler's iso. He's a good iso guy, not elite.
It would be a great get if we can get Jimmy Buckets. We would have to trade Gordon to even remotely have a chance to get him though. Starting lineup: CP3 Harden Butler Tucker Capela And we can hopefully replace Gordon with Ellington
Love Butler, think we should definitely be aggressive. SnT Capela to 3rd team, 3rd team good asset to Minny + pick from Houston, Butler to Houston
Need to be as aggressive as ever, no ones untouchable except for Harden and CP. Keep Capela if you can but if not flip him for an asset or sign and trade. Whatever Minny wants.
Call me crazy but putting Capela at the 5 and KAT at the 4 is a pretty nice mix. Capela hides KAT's defensive deficiencies and allows KAT to roam closer to the perimeter on offense. Again, call me crazy.
With what? The Rockets have nothing to really offer. The Celtics can offer more. The Lakers can offer more. Butler doesn't guarantee a title in Houston, and Butler is not really well liked by his teammates.
Maybe Thibbs will be dumb enough to trade him for an EG + Ryno. Or they can just deal with the Lakers/Celtics for much better young assets.
Considering the Rockets only lost in the WCF because of Paul's injury, yeah a Rockets team with Butler can hang with GS.
yeah, Boston just went to the Eastern Conference finals without Kyrie and Hayward. My guess is letting Kyrie walk wouldn't be a death blow to that organization.
Agree Rockets don't have much to offer. Butler would have to force his way. Celtics have more to offer, but no reason to go after Butler with cheaper wings on board. Lakers have more to offer, but might be concentrating on Kawhi or doubling down on Ingram. Butler might not be well liked by his teammates. But which ones? The ones that don't work hard?
He’s an average to above average 3 point shooter who can score in isolation, defend, create, 44% off corner 3’s (55% last year) what do you want him to do for you to appreciate his game??????
