He was always an average defender at best which is why I said he's a skilled change or pace bench big for them at worst. Good low risk high reward signing imo
Why is this still a thing used to make it seem like Stern didn't want Kobe to win? Lol he once said if he had things his way, the Lakers would be in the FInals every year. That trade didn't happen because the NBA owned the Hornets at the time and that would have destroyed the value of the team so the Owner rep(Stern) turned down the offer. It wasn't him not allowing CP3 to play with Kobe. It never made sense for NO. Trying to sell the team and you get a bunch of aging role players and no young potential stars and picks for your superstar point guard?
