Yeah that article means nothing. However, The trade involving Howard earlier showed that a team would take on extra years for less of a tax hit (Mozgov had one more year than Dwight but smaller amount per year which also leads to smaller tax hit). Then again Charlotte are stupid.

Like Faried and Chandler (both expiring) for Ryno would save them money if they’re in luxury tax territory but still don’t see them biting.
Faried + Chandler + Plumlee for Ryno and EG would be taking in less money, and then we would be giving up the best player in that trade.

Does that mean Ennis interest is still in play?

Tenure controls your max, along with Supermax qualifications. That's why Windhort was stunned George didn't do the 1+1 like Durant did with equal tenure. Barring injury, superstars are best to have contracts end exactly at the 10yr mark.

10yrs Maxes are as good as the highest Supermax
    • 0-6yrs = 25%
    • 7-9yrs or Designated Rookie Supermax = 30%
    • 10+ yrs or Designsted Vet Supermax = 35%

And despite having to get past Boston to get to the finals, I would think they would cruise to the ECF. If Lebron comes West and goes to any team other than the Rockets or Warriors, he's got no chance at the WCF.

Where are all of our Insiders when sh*t actually starts poppin? You figure if these sources are legit then clearly more relevant info would leak when signings can actually happen ...unless .... they were never....

I’m saying that the East is not an easy path to the Finals anymore, so that factors less

It is for Lebron. If he goes to either Boston or Philly, then the other is screwed.

He'd help them in the regular season. Don't see him doing much in the playoffs. Not on that roster.

If the warriors add Tyreke Evans, i'm giving up on the NBA. that would just suck so bad.

I really hope Morey has something up his sleeve because we need another playmaker.

Will Evans take mini MLE. And he's not really a good fit. The role of Gordon gives him a concrete look at his role for Harden/Paul. There is zero guessing what he'd do on the Rockets after just one phone call from Harden and Paul.

He really would have no idea what he'd do on the Warriors. Kerr would just say, "Oh, we'll make it work." And Curry/Durant would fumble their words or not look him in the eye while saying everything except "we'll expect you to change your game to suit ours.", while Green would give him the honest scoop, "We really just want you, so that you won't go to the Rockets. It's up to you to make it work."

I could see him taking Livingston spot, would be more deadly since Evans can hit the 3 at a great clip

Whats the cutoff for what we would match for CC? Or is it being him back at all cost?

No, Salami Mejri isn't signing with Houston.
