Harden can't ball watch...

The comments in this thread are mind boggling. Harden has to play defense. If Harden plays defense this series is over. GSW has no chance. Harden absolutely can play defense AND offense. I would much rather Harden pick it up defensively and let CP take up the slack on offense.

Everybody knows that Harden has to play defense. What he needs to do is be the best player offensively in this series and just follow the game plan defensively while giving effort and staying focused.

 

I AGREE. I still contend that Harden has to play even better on defense. Reading some of these comments gives me the impression that some fans think Harden can't physically play both offense AND defense and that his defense isn't as important as his offense.

 

I got u. Me personally, I'm looking for games 1, 2, and 4 in the 2015 WCF Harden to show up in this series where he was fine defensively, but was just on fire offensively.

he can't afford any 6-22 or 5-18 type of games...I think what he does offensively is more important in this series although he obviously has to bring it defensively

 

If he was better on defense than offense he would be a DPOY, that's not what we need from him. We need above average defense yes, not elite levels. We have others players for that.

 

I just want him clear minded and healthy. If that is the case, he will punish them.

 

Its more of an art than a science. Its holistic.

Just need to find ways to get the lead by any means necessary.

Cant isolate one variable and say thats the key to the game imo.

 

Its not going to help if Harden scores and then watches GS make a layup around him while he plays ok defense.

 

If harden scores on a layup expect his teammates running back ahead of him. Again, this playoffs the the rockets are rarely outscored when harden is on the court. You have any data to support that harden allows most fg or fg% on the team?

We did not sweep the 1st 2 rounds because of hardens ball watching

 

This is golden state. No need for stats when you watch games and see him play weak defense.

Does not have anything to with hate. We want him play hard defense to beat golden state. Cp3 tries his best, just want the same effort from harden.

if you don't see his effort there then you are blinded by hate
