Seriously, he had like 14 points in the first quarter and was getting whatever he wanted. Then proceeded to drain a 3 to start the second half. He played a terrible half, and his shot hasn't been falling, it happens.
That's a loaded question that would require an in depth neurological assessment. Post concussive syndrome can last hrs to days to weeks to months. Depends on the symptoms. The sideline trainers are not neurologists. They aren't trained in this particular thing in depth. I HOPE HOPE HOPE I'm lookin too much into this, but it is absolutely a possibility from a neurological perspective.
I can live with the drop on his scoring, but the sloppy defense, ball handling, and passing is deeply concerning, especially against the Warriors who will pounce on these mistakes far more ruthlessly than any team we've faced so far.
Concerning the 2nd half of G4... More like fatigue. It’s a bit concerning considering that fatigue was what resulted in his infamous G6 performance against the spurs in last year playoff.
Fatigue could be an issue. Expending energy playing defense. 2 games in 48 hours in Utah Altitude is something to consider. Denver isn't the only place with altitude.
The turnovers so far tonight have me wondering... There are shades of game 6 last year in how he's playing in the first half.
At least he is not hogging the ball and taking bad shot after bad shot. It would be great if he cut or moved more off the ball
I don't know what the reason is (not sure I buy the concussion theory), but Harden is definitely in that mode where he plays like he's concussed or hungover or whatever. He's moving in slow motion and making REALLY stupid decisions that he doesn't normally make, and also missing shots/layups that he usually makes. Thank god we have CP3 to carry us here.
Okay I'm concerned now. :\ I mean, we're gonna win this game, but we need James to be in top form to beat Golden State.
