I was joking with my friend, last night saying how old-Lebron is now trying imitate Dream/MJ/Kobe, lol.
It's amazing, because people kept saying there was no way they would last against Raptors with such a weak team, this year.
I wouldn't say this series is over yet. The Rockets lost their first two home games to Phoenix in 1994 and everyone called us Choke City. Then we came back to beat them in seven games and became Clutch City. If Toronto can nut up in the next two games in Cleveland, they still have a chance. They do have the talents to beat the Cavs, although I doubt that they have the mental strength.
I want to believe but Dwane Casey is a dummy who got outcoached by Ty Lue smh. Serge is playing like a 49 year old, Demar choking and is playing lazy defence, Lowry always playing scared in the second half and the bench is just too young and inexperienced. Also Lebron is a god who can't be stopped.
When discussing players to add to the Rockets roster to make them better, NEVER FORGET the DaDakota scouting report * Kevin Durant - doesn't play defense. * LeBron James - too old. Gracious.
in small ball, Lebron often ends up guarding JV with switches and rotations. and we all know he doesn't win that matchup. its not just love. and also we saw last night what love does to JV. JV has had this problem for years. its nothing new
Casey always been an idiot when it comes to JV. Yah sure, he will get burned in small ball lineups, but at same time he will burn those lineups himself. He always plays into opponents matchups, not visa versa.
The difference there is the Rockets were up 18 on the Suns in Game 1 and 20 in Game 2(in the 4th quarter no less!). They basically proved they could dominate Phoenix. They just had to learn how to close. Plus they had the MVP and league's best player in Dream and guys like Mad Max who were fearless. The Raptors did have sizable leads on the Cavs in both games, but Cleveland has the league's best player, not Toronto. And while you could argue the Raptors choked away Game 1, they just got destroyed in the 2nd half of Game 2. What positives do you take away from that loss? The Rockets could at least look at film and tell themselves they were up 102-82 with 10 1/2 minutes to go. Also, there's no one on the Toronto roster with the kind of heart and guts that the Rockets had(Maxwell, Smith, Cassell, Elie, Horry, OT, even Amigo).
Agreed that the difference is we had Hakeem on our side and Toronto has LeBron on the other side. But think about this. If we lost the series, those guys might always be remembered as chokers. Let's see what the Rapstors are made of.
