ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 4/21/2018 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 3)

ESPN has been unbearable this entire game, but they're that the Rockets haven't showed up for the playoffs so far.

 

Harden and CP3 had mediocre showings.... again.

Harden didn't show up until the game was over and we were down by 15+ in the 4th quarter. Disappointing....

 

It's hard to beat a team 7 straight times

 

Agree. I think we peaked about 3 months too early.

 

I mean...it is. Dude is not playing well. Letting an 8 seed hang around would very much worry me if I’m Harden/Paul/D’Antoni.

 

Eric Gordan is trash. Like Flash Gordan trash versus Supersman trash

 

Mash the Spurs and Wolves together. . . pick the top 5 players off those teams
I somehow feel that 3 of the 5 will be Timberwolves

I dont understand why they are doubling Wiggins or pretty much every possession the wolves have.

This is what happens when the team thought they had an easy game. Everyone said the wolves had no chance so that made the team give no effort at all in defense.

Well I guess the prediction that rockets in. 5 games was right

Next game we shouldn’t double Wiggins or anyone not even KaT. Capela needs to stay with his man as much as possible specially if they aren’t even setting a screen to switch. He just switches willingly and that creates mismatches for everyone else.
KaT had a couple assist because we doubled him. And they started to shoot the threes. But everything started with doubling or Capela switching.

Maybe they will come to play next game. This team stops playing great if they think it’s an easy opponent or game. When they get cocky they tend to lose.

Tbh, I don't mind the Rox winning this series in 7 games, if they think one loss won't be enough to shake the "rust" and slap their faces awake.

So, you think THIS game...THIS game, HArden's playoff rep is on the line?

Not Spurs game last year? Not the games during the Warrior series...but this game?

If the Rockets win this series in 5, you really think people are going to say "Man, that game 3 in 2018 against the Wolves really ruined Harden's playoff rep..."

 

This is the time for MDA to solidify whether or not he is a great coach. Adjust or find yourself in the historical annals of mediocrity.

 

Rockets haven't showed up, yet we are up 2-1. I guess you guys were hoping we were going to be steamrolling teams.

Wake the **** up. If the Rockets were really not engaged they would be down this series.

 

Nobody thinks like that. Each series is its own. Worry about the next team when we actually play them.

I know we give up 120 points, but our offense sucks right now.

 

James Harden didn't have a bad game scoring wise, but his overall play was very lethargic & sloppy. The desire to win this game wasn't there and he didn't look very interested most of the game. We aren't anywhere close to beating GS if Harden pulls this crap

Ryno was feeling it and Harden ignored him. That pissed me off.
