Is CP3 more clutch than Harden?

Discussion in 'Houston Rockets: Game Action & Roster Moves' started by swyyyguy, Apr 5, 2018.

?

With the game on the line, would you rather have the ball in the hands of CP3 or Harden?

  1. CP3, the point GAWD. He can teach Harden how to have heart.

    67.7%
  2. Harden, the points GAWD. He's the MVP.

    32.3%

I trust CP, EG and GG more than James in clutch time to be honest.

Naturally this would be swyyguy introducing such a topic, with FTW not far behind.

Remember that CP3 has missed a lot of games and this is his first pretty-impressive outing in awhile. He’s always capable of this, and I’m thrilled we have him, but it seems that Harden could save someone’s child from an abandoned well and still get criticized.

CP3 is the most clutch player on this team and I guarantee you he'll have more memorable games in this playoff than Harden.

Me too. Harden is more likely to make a bad pass or turn the ball over. CP3 is very smart and makes the right play.

We have to keep in mind that when we are referring to ability, teams are more likely to double Harden in clutch situations than CP3 so it will always be more difficult for Harden to operate in clutch situations because the defense is more concentrated on him .

Harden just needs to learn to make the quick move or pass instead of waiting for the double to come to him.

Yes, because he's failed to show just how clutch he is all year. Sheesh!

cp3 missed the 3 to win the toronto game.

they both have their moments. harden is on most of the time but when he's off he's terrible. that's where you have cp3 to come in and pick up the slack,

same thing as the warriors pre-durant when klay would save curry's ass when curry had the rare horrible 4th quarter (or even game).

just be glad to have both.

The answer is obviously Russell Westbrook. Only he has teh Hartz and the Killer Instincts. He looks so mean and serious when he airballs his 4th Quarter shots.

I don’t know about more clutch but def a lot smarter at decision making in the last seconds and looks to make a play b4 scoring for the most part. Harden on the other hand is predictable but still hard to guard, however, when he gets shut down he makes dumb mistakes or takes a bad shot. If Harden can get the step back on you he has a 50/50 chance of beating you but if he doesn’t have and has to drive he looks for the foul over the shot.

depends on matchup. they both can get the job done.

whoever is open, or has the weaker defender on him, or has the hot hand, that's who should take the last shot.

We have both for a reason.

Final shot I would take CP3.

Final 5 minutes I take Harden.

The reason I would take CP3 for final shot is if we only needed a 2 pointer, CP3's mid range is honestly money. If we needed a 3 pointer, the shot goes to whoever is open.

Final 5 minutes I would take Harden. When he gets rolling he will run everyone over.

Harden is my favorite player by far but he kills me when he doesn’t get back after a turnover.

In some ways, the best thing for James to do is to play decoy and distract at least 1 defender while cp3 is setting somebody up for a wide open shot or taking it himself. In general, i'd say cp3 should be handling the ball to close out games. That poll is just stupid tho...will not vote.

Harden was destroying the league wearing the Vol 1's this year, 60 point triple double and running away with the MVP. Since introducing the vol 2 his three point % has gone down, he's missing clutch FTs and turning the ball over more. Vol 1 is more clutch.

BAD POLL. By experience alone CP3 should be more CLUTCH. Reason why he's here. And to answer your question i would give the ball to whoever got the hotter hand at that particular game. If they're both sucking and its a close game then EGO must be having a career game so i want him to get the ball and shoot it.
